hey i need a little advice here. there was this guy at my church and he went to this retreat with our church we really didnt get along the first 2 days then we did get 2 know eachother. well in december we had this live nativity thing goin on and we were walkin around the church(its pretty big) and well we had to pretend to be biblical chacters well i said to him why do we have have to pretend to be biblical chacters thats dum. then he says o like im pretendin to like you. and i was silent cause i didnt know he he was for real or just joking. sinc3e then i havent seen him. i thinked he really liked me. he was a really sweet guy. do you think he really liked me. also do you think he dosent come cause of me. he was such a sweet guy

Wait for some more signs. I'm a person who would do something like that. But in all respect, I don't mean it.

He doesn't show any signs of liking you yet. Did he walk with you only or were there other people? Does he have any friends in his church or your church besides you?

If he does, then it might hint towards something. If he doesn't, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

Then I'd say that he might have some feeling towards you.

Or he still is joking about it.

You can't really tell now, since it is the only thing that is hinting you to wonder if he does like you or not. Maybe get to know him a lot more about his personality? Does he always say something funny and/or sarcastic around everyone?

As I stated before, you might want to wait this out and gather a little bit more evidence that he likes you.

With my best guyfriend, we always walk to somewhere together and he's always joking that he is pretending that I'm pretty (even though he has a girlfriend and I know that I'm not pretty). He doesn't like me in that way because he has a certain air to him that tell you, I like you. Many guys are like that. They always treat their girlfriend (or person that they want as a girlfriend) different from their friends.

Sounds to me like you're looking too much into it. To me it sounded more as if he were joking in a "oh like im pretendin to like you" as in hes pretending to be nice to you. I dunno its just how it sounded to me

no offence but i agree with Brilliance. Its like as if he is pretending to be nice to you the way he said like "pretending to like you" it could mean 2 things, it could means he likes you or that he doesnt like you and hes pretending to like you. dont jump to conclusions. how about getting to know him more and look for more signs than just this one.

I have you say that I agree with Brilliance as well. He MAY be kidding around. I think you should just wait for more signs to indicate that he likes you. Well, the question is, do YOU like him? If you don't like him, does it really matter if he likes you or not? If you DO like him, well then, I think you should wait for more signs that he gives to make sure that he has feelings.

Also, if you're wondering so much, why don't you just ask him yourself? I'm pretty sure asking him yourself will be more easier to see if he was playing or not. Really. We honestly can't tell if he likes you for sure, because, well, we can't read his mind. I think you should just ask him yourself.

How close are you two already, friendship wise?

Other than that i agree with the rest. It's a bit early to tell what's going on in his mind or whatever. But you do see him at church, so it's not like a question that can never be answered.
