So as I was eating my ice cream, I started reading the nutrition facts (OMG! 72048903 CALORIES! OMG!), and noticed that on the lid, it said that it contained not chocolate chips, but chocolate FLAVORED chips.

What the hell? mellow.gif
annonymous.
Isn't that the same? That's retarded! mellow.gif
Stefanny
LOL.
CHOCOLATE FLAVORED
haha. How many calories?
think!IMAGINARILY
Artificial flavoring, eww..

Did you know that even if they make the flavoring in a lab, it can still be called natural flavoring? mellow.gif
michellerrific
Chocolate flavored? Omg.
It's like the company can't afford to buy CHOCOLATE so they have to use fake ones. mellow.gif

Dump it and get the real stuff!

yea i knew that. and like in some yogurt they put crushed buggs for coloring. mellow.gif i read it in my summer reading book - Fast Food Nation. it talks about whats in your food and how its made, and by whom. all these foods or even products like mouthwash etc, have labs produce thier chemicals to create the taste, and odor too. artificial flavoring is pretty much everywhere its kinda gross.

^ On a side note, I read Fast Food Nation! and it was made into a movie too, filming was hidden under another movie name so McDonalds wouldn't track them down.

It's really interesting.

Watch Super size me. It makes me want to not eat McDonald's ever again. stubborn.gif

It's not only in yogurt! Candy too. A lot of things with artificial food coloring have colors from bugs. mellow.gif

Chips as in poo?

Chocolate flavored poo in icecream.

Oh gosh.
gita
probably meaning there's no actual CHOCOLATE chips, but rather, processed plasticized food product that resembles a chocolate flavor =]

^ I still like my idea of chocolate flavored poo.
HakunaMatata
...but you couldn't tell the difference until you read the ingredients, right?
iDecay
^ Yes. But after you read the ingredients, you don't really want to eat it.. Well, I wouldn't. Artificial flavouring. </3

OH. And at first, I thought you meant chips (ie: potato chips, cheetos, etc) that were chocolate flavoured. laugh.gif
jaeman
Why do you think the ingredients are always in smaller, fine print? huh.gif
KissMe2408
lol yeah it makes a big difference when you read the nutrition facts, as well as the ingredients.

Say Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice-cream
Just in Half a Cup, you get 230 calories, 108 of them from fat.
and 20 grams of sugar. . . can you believe it?
and that's just in half a cup.
So, what about a quarter of that pint you are eating out of.
blah. takes the fun out of things.
synthase
they ripped you off
its the same with some strawberry icecream?
datass
What the hell, wouldn't it cost more to make chocolate flavoured crap?
