I'm looking forward to baking something this Valentine's Day and passing it out: a food that people would enjoy/look forward to this Valentine's Day.

I need something that is.. not typical (like chocolate chip cookies) but not over-the-top/gourmet (like a mousse) and most of all, can travel well and of course, somehow be associated with Valentine's Day (it doesn't have to directly be associated with Valentine's Day (like hearts), just as long as it fits the holiday, if y'know what I mean).

If you have nothing to suggest, atleast tell me which one of the following you would prefer for Valentine's Day:
• Chocolate-covered strawberries
• Chocolate truffles
• Molten lava cakes
• Brownies

And if you are planning to suggest something, a recipe (tested and successful results, if possible) would be nice (but its not necessary) as well!

Thank you! happy.gif

Mmm. Chocolate covered strawberries. throb.gif I can't think of anyone who hates them. pinch.gif

If you're willing you should try making home-made candy. The truffle idea sounds pretty good, too.

I'm making goody bags. I'm too lazy to spend that much time.. Kekeke.

Definitely chocolate covered strawberries. They're yummy, and I'm sure he'll love both brownies & strawberries.

Your choice of molten lava cakes sounds enticing.

Cheesecake brownies!

Get a pan with small individual heart shapes, and then spray with cooking spray or line with heart shaped cups if you can find them. Fill with brownie mix, and then the cheesecake mix on top. Then you can decorate with pink and red icing, and anything else.

To wrap them, just put them in the middle of some nice clear wrapping paper, gather it up and twist on top and tie with a bow or ribbons.

heart shaped chicken nuggets! lol. i never had it b4 but it seems like a good idea

You can also make heart shaped chocolate lollipops!
Melt chocolate and put it into an icing dispenser, and pipe it onto wax paper, then stick lollipop sticks in them. Those are really portable.

I don't like chocolate-covered strawberries. The chocolate makes the strawberries taste sour because the chocolate is sweeter than the strawberries. pinch.gif

Molten lava cakes FTW!

Not to advertise or anything, but our school's online newspaper has some stuff you could try.
