Uhh. All of a sudden a box pops up and say I am downloading something and as soon as I tried to cancel it it says done..Can it be a virus?! If so how can I use avg free to fix it

Well, what page do you visit that makes your computer download random things?

And yes, it could be a virus. Scan your computer with AVG.

If you're using IE, switch to Firefox. Immediately. Too many cracks and stuff in IE.

Or, update to IE 7.0, it's pretty safe, or supposedly, the safest out there.

I'm usually on a Mac, otherwise I use Crazy Browser.
