This is my modified version of an open source blog design, "modded" for my Xanga layout. It views okay in Firefox, but in IE, the content is under the sidebar. I've messed with the "clear" CSS property but couldn't solve it. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and the clouds background is part of the .top class. If there was a way I could position the clouds to the top of the page instead of under the advertisements, it would be great. (I've tried "position: absolute" and "top: 0 0;".)

Have you used the !important function yet? wink.gif If not, I suggest you try that.

Actually, I have used the !important function. Since I'm not an IE fan, the !important function has been faithful to me in many web designs. I can't seem to get it to work here, though.

Have you, as stated in the linked topic, changed the position of the !important function?

In normal webdesigning, it wouln't matter. Here though, you've got unaccounted for variables that you didn't code yourself ... And you need to remember that. Xanga is a little touchy sometimes.

Yes, I've tried all sorts of the !important function, with various elements. I finally solved the problem by giving the sidebar a negative margin-bottom value.

I guess this topic can be closed, and thanks.
