Lets see: new movies

Little Miss Sunshine, Devil wears Prada, Invincible, Loves Abiding Joy, etc.

Those are just new movies out right now of course.

I thought Little Miss Sunshine was cute and good.
My Cinderella.
Chronicles of Narnia, Wedding Crashers, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Peter Pan, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?

Oh, I love Little Miss Sunshine (refer to avatar). XD.gif

Around here there aren't many new movies or CDs out because it's not very far into the new year.

the prestige. that was nice. but, it hasnt come out on dvd yet.
the pursuit of happyness was great and touching.
miiichellley
Flightplan's on DVD.
Herizon Action
Little Miss Sunshine, Science of Sleep, and the like?

Harry Potter bores me.
Action films have to have some deep meaning to them if I would watch them.
Foreign films are a plus, unless they're boring.
..Anything like that?
I Shot JFK
V for Vendetta?
medicineforluck
The Notebook? (its kinda old)
50 first dates?
oh yeah, i LOVE little miss sunshine since the day i saw it in theatres :D

Memento. Life is not complete until you see that.
I Shot JFK
^ My friend tried to make me watch that, but i never got around to it.

I refuse to accept that it is btter than donnie darko
Siena Jade
^ OH REALLY?!?!?!?

Hmm. I'll have to see Donnie Darko and then argue with that. Yes, I am one of the few out there who haven't experienced the awesomeness that is Donnie Darko. Or at least, that's what my friend told me (in a slightly horrified tone?)

I'll get around to it...someday...and then get back to you on that.

Anyway...other movies to recommend?...uh...well I'm not sure what kind of movies you like but I liked Igby Goes Down, Amélie, and Ghost World. Among others.

If you want a movie that'll mess with your head a bit and def won't bore you then watch "Fight Club".
Jeng
I bet Hez that you've already seen all the SAW movies..
Janette

Kathleen

- Heathers

ooh, Ghost World!!

DEFINATELY worth catching!

I feel bad for thora birch... she had The HOle as a vehicle for her career, and it ended up launching keira knightley instead, and Ghost World helped Scarlett Johannsen more than her... it's a harsh world.
angelrevelation
The Illusionist looked pretty good...

Yeah, Thora Birch was great in Ghost World! She OWNED that movie. But lo and behold, Scarlett is now the bigger star...I think that Lost In Translation had a lot to do with it, even though it came out a couple of years later. I remember Thora Birch when she was in Now and Then (great movie), only 13 years old, and then American Beauty (16), which I think should have propelled her forward...I guess that's another recommendation?

If you're looking for some action, with a little humor & gore in it, I'd suggest you watch Kill Bill Vol. 1 Those had some great moments in it =D
