I think you have come off as a miserable person to others in your new town. You moved with a bad attitude and some people might really like their home. But you were like, "This sucks, I hate everything, RAWR." So, that's a possibly reason why they don't like you.

And it's not your parents' fault. They didn't make the people you're surrounded by.

I moved to a whole new country and had to start again. I sulked for, oh, about a year. And things only got better when I realized that we weren't going to up stakes and move back. I still keep in contact with people I knew, and there is no reason why you can't do it with your old friends. if anything, Nicki and I are possibly closer now than we would have been if I'd stayed there... who knows?

The bottom line is dont waste your life wondering 'what if I'd never moved', because you have. If you don't feel immediately comfortable with most of the people there, power through. Yea, it might be awkward and suck at first, but if you keep at it with a decent attitude (i.e not saying things like 'asians aren't emos', which creates a bad impression), it will only get better.

And even if you never become part of a huge crowd, so what? You said yourself you 'only' have 4 or so close friends, but friendsarent generally measured in numbers... quality over quantity and so forth.

Oh, and on a side note, blaming your parents won't help. Been there, done that. Chances are, they miss elements of where ever you lived before, and having someone whine at them wont generate any sympathy.

what's wrong with YOU? maybe if you changed your additude you would make more friends and that is why everyone bashes you because you never like to admit that you're wrong. i dont get why you wouldn't treat people with respect online and in real life. -sigh- if you dont want to treat people with respect online, then maybe you should get off this forum because cB doesn't have time to deal with someone like you, jason.

i don't act like this at all in school. just ask anyone who goes to my school. they'll just say im a chill, laid-back, focused kid. Attitude has nothing to do with making friends here. I am acting the same way as I acted in schools where I used to live before, and I made plenty of friends there. Here, it's kind of hard here because many people don't share the same interests as me and a lot are white people

Well, you can't force the whole world to cooperate with you but the best you can do is start talking to the people who haven't dissed you yet and maybe you could pluck some friends out of that. come on at least try. And white people and asians are not 100% different. I'm sure you share interests with some of them..

wow i'm sorry i know what you went threw i moved from manhattan, new york city to a small town called wildwood in florida and in new york i had friends for 13 years in that area and then i moved and it was so so different, but its all up to you to make the best of it.

Statistik,

When I was younger I moved around everywhere. My dad was in the Army so we had to move between states all of the time. I moved around from Kentucky, South Carolina, New York and New Jersey for years until I finally went and settled in New York.

I was really comfortable in South Carolina. I had a lot of friends, most of which were close. But whenever the Army wanted my father somewheres else than that is what happened. To this day I only have 2 really close friends. I guess the only advice I would have is to roll with the punches. I still search local libraries for the guidebook to life ^_^

Thats life. As you grow up friends change and situations change. My parents moved towns when i began high school and yeah i had to leave alot of friends behind. Within weeks I had made new friends and my best friend till today i met at high school.

Your life is not ruined, you just scared of change. Change though is inevitable.

You need to take life as it comes and not dwell on the past and there are tougher challenges ahead for you. If this bogs you down, you got a surprise coming when life throws some real curve balls at you.
