Well, typing fast will actually help with the faster tempo songs. Rather than trying a slow song, try and a faster song.

NEVER give up on a dream!! No matter how trivial it may seem, it is important to you and you shouldnt allow anything to stop you. If you have to, try and arrange meetings with the higher up people on days when you can get to them. Or make an arrangement with a family member or someone else. Ya know?

Now in the form of a question. lolz. Is there something I can do to help me feel more like myself and carry on conversations better?

Try slowly integrating yourself into groups of people. Try to talk more during class (like volunteer to answer a question or give some feedback on what you think about a particular subject) and even try meeting new people. Sometimes it takes time and you will get frustrated because you cant talk to everyone but you can try. Dont be afraid of making a fool out of yourself. Any type of screw up can be turned into something good.
