It's soooo funny the excuses I've heard from girls for not going on a date, it's ridculous and cliche'.
So yea... these are the excuses my friend and I have compiled:
- I have to walk my dog
- I'm having guests over
- I need to take a
really long bath
- I don't have enough money
- I'm already taken (when in reality, she's not)
- I have to wash my hair that day... yea..
So yes, do any of theses sound familiar?

sheesh girls... Have any of you guys heard different things? I wanna know so that the next time a girl says those things to me, I can say "LIAR!" lolz...

Guys don't directly ask me out, so I don't get a chance to make up some lame excuse.
But this guy was GOING to ask me out. He told my friend. She told him I was taken. In reality, I wasn't. But I didn't want to go out with him anyways and he didn't bother me after that.

And guys, 'I just think of you as a friend' is NOT always a lie. I wouldn't want to go out with one of my friends

The "i just got cancer" one is harsh. Tell it to him straight.

I've never given any kind of dumb excuse..

Usually if I don't want to go out with a guy, I just tell him that I'd rather be friends and I'm not into him like that.

Honestly, telling a guy you don't like him is a lot less harsh than making up an excuse.
SarahxJoy
Aug 21 2006, 07:17 PM
Well the objective of my telling a guy that I'd rather be friends is to be truthful. It hurts, sure, but it's better than lying about not wanting to go out with a guy and possibly having him find out about it, don't you think?
Wouldn't you want a girl to be honest?

Plus, if you just give a guy an excuse, he could just keep on trying to ask you out and eventually you'll run out of chances. At least with telling him that you'd rather just be friends, will put a stop to that.

Yes they do. Friendships and other relationships both.
