do you make some things yourself? like what? or what do you want to figure out how to make?

usually i like to make my own bows for my hair.. i`m not great at it though. i like to sew, i`m getting better too. recently i made a white polka dot skirt with a lace trim, i use patterns & things still because i doubt i`m ready to do it from scratch. i also like to mix my eyeshadows and stuff to come up with some really cool looking colors. i want to figure out how to make other things too, i`m not really sure what though.

what about you guys?

[sorry if there was a post about this, but i couldn`t really find much searching because everything was too short]

there was a topic like this? it was about making your own shirts. i don't remember.

anywaii, yeah i sew on occasion when i get the chance. i made a skirt but it was too short. it has the cutest waistband though.

btw, if you really into sewing, go to www.craftster.org. great tutorials and experienced advice.

happy crafting!

i hate it when that happens. but if it looks right try wearing it with leggings or colored tights. it might even look cool over jeans or something.

Does cutting ribbon count? laugh.gif My mom and aunts have left-over lace and ribbon from sewing and I use them like headbands. shrug.gif I suck at sewing. I can't sew straight. O_O

I'd like to learn how to make headbands, though. I have tons of cute fabric at home and it'd hard to find a perfect one at the stores. I googled it and it seems pretty easy..

hmm. you can get plain plastic headbands at stores like walmart & stuff. then just cover them in whatever fabric you want. or i just get the headbands and tie a little bow on the side of it with ribbon & it looks pretty cute.

I do jewelry. It's really easy actually and to think i paid 100 bucks for 3 classes.
I do cross stitch too. It comes like a good thing when coming to presents cause they can come out personalized(sp?) and really cheap when getting the materials.
showstopper!
uhm. I made a bow?

Yup. :> You can't see it very well, but all the good photos of my DIY clothes are on my mom's PC. Below are some links of one of my FAVORTITE seller on eBay who makes awesome DIY shirts.
