homosexuality is hurting the person who thinks that way, they could go to hell! And as far as masturbation that's a touchy subject to talk with people, well .sept on the internet sense u dont have to see their faces :]]
first of all, you don't go to hell for being homosexual, even though it
is a sin, a homosexual could still be saved and JUST because he is homosexual doesn't mean God won't forgive him, therefore they
will go to heaven according to John 3:16.
Don't automatically asume homosexuals are going to hell, just because your pastor tells you so.
It's not up to you to judge people, that's
Gods job.

I don't think it's a sin, only that the Bible mentions a "man" would, as someone pointed out, "waste his seed". People interpret the Bible in their own ways.
I'd just go along with how you feel, sure. Of course I'm kinda slipping toward agnosticism from the extreme Catholicism that I was raised up with so I wouldn't exactly know.
The thing is for me personally, the thought that's keeping me from doing it is being able to save it to share with some special guy, hopefully my future husband. Just so it would be all the more special. But that's just me

It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable.

i don't think it should be a sin. so how the hell are we suppose to have babies if we don't do it? i'm christian and i don't masturbate, but i read something about masturbation and it's completely normal b/c it helps you get rid of stress.

Although isnt it true that we are forgiven if we are truely sorry for our sins and ask the lord for forgivness?
so what you are saying is that if we are indeed going to sin again isnt it then imposible for us to be forgiven? so in theroy Jesus died for what? forgive thouse who will be without sin? isnt that the way it was before he gave his life for us? I beleave the lord wants us to try to be without sin... live our life with the lord in every aspect of our day to day lives...
The lord is understanding he knows that we are easerly influenced... he knows what we are thinking although he has patiants and he is loving in every way... he will forgive us for every sin when we ask for forgivnes... sin after sin... all he ask's in return is that we love him and be thankfull for his forgivness.
wouldnt you forgive your kids if they smoked weed and then got busted? and then the next week they do it again? you still forgive them wouldnt you? the lord knows it is difficult to be pure he sent his son to know the true feeling of what it is like to be on earth away from gods presence... god had no qlue before he sent jesus...

I go to a christian camp every summer.. and the last summer they had like an hour discussion about it.
and it is indeed a sin. They gave a bunch of verses from the Bible.. showing how it's sinful. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but I'll look for them.
can you PM me with the verses.

masturbation is perfectly normal and fine. despite what crazy baptists might say, it's not a sin. better masturbation than sex, right?
I resent that. I'm a baptist, and I...yeah. Anyway, there was a sermon from a well-known African-American baptist minister (female) and she said that it's healthy, and absolutely not a sin. So boo yah.

it's spelled masturbation...haha.
i'm not christian, and i used to masturbate. i don't anymore because i have a boyfriend but i really don't think there's anything wrong with it. i think that christians are against masturbation but i'm not sure. hell, there are religious christians who drink even though they go to church and stuff. masturbation is A LOT less harmful than drinking and it's actually healthy because it relieves stress and relaxes your body.

i hate the fact that there are religions out there telling people what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. masturbation is completely harmless and if someone wants to do it, then that's their own decision. why do some people think it's necessary to be in someone else's private business?

Ok, you asked for it...so christianity wise...yes, it is considered a sin. Bottom line is any sexual act, thought, words are not to be used out of marriage. However, it happens and its no more of a sin then over eating or lying...so you are the decision maker in this situation.

masturbation is
not a sin.
Nowhere in the bible does it say masturbation is a sin. It is often confused with
Onanism, but Onan's sin was to withdraw during sex and spill his seed.
i am christain. and i find nothing wrong with masturbation.
- and to every one who feels we should take the bible literally: it is impossible because no one takes the
entire bible literally. Perhaps you are aware of people who advocate self-mutilation in obedience to Jesus’ words in Mark 9. I'm not. And if we were to execute children who insult their parents as is written in Deuteronomy 21, we’d all be dead.

People masturbating should have NOTHING to do with any type of religion. I mean in all religions don they want people to be happy? Masturbating bring great pleasure leading to happiness. But people should do what THEY want to do because they want to do it not because they religion says to or not to

Humans naturally crave sex. It's in our genetics. Unless you're extemely abnormal, you're going to crave some kind of sexual pleasure. Even if you say you don't, for God.
Personally, if I were Christian, I'd advocate Masturbation above going out &having sex with someone.
Oh, and by the way.. Babies masturbate, it's been proven. Obviously, they're not thinking of sex or anything, they do it because it feels good. =]
Anyone who thinks that people shouldn't masturbate, or have sex are just prudes. For that matter, we shouldn't hold hands, or kiss, right? If you think we shouldn't masturbate, maybe you should try it sometime. Then you'd change your mind. Personally, I don't masturbate. I do things with my boyfriend.
Think about this for a second.. What would happen if no one had sex? Population would suffer.
Sex doctors say the best way to practice at sex, is to masturbate, also. The longer you can hold off your climax, the better. =x
One final thing, masturbation has, indeed, proven to release stress.

I wasn't saying that He wouldn't forgive us anyway.
But can people honestly be that selfish to know what they are doing is wrong and still continue to do it..and know that they are still going to do it without any effort to stop but to just keep asking for forgiveness... (answer: yes)
For those of you who don't believe in the Bible.. that's just great for you, go ahead live how you want. I'm just giving my opinion.
