kay so i got my itunes on a disk, but it didnt work.
so now when i try to open up the old one it says its missing something to open, and it says to redownload itunes =(

are my songs gone?!?!?!?
or can i get a later version of itunes that might download and reopen it?
think!IMAGINARILY
Did you put the installation file on the disk? huh.gif
If you try to put the iTunes files directly on your computer, it definitely won't work..

your songs are not gone. They're store on your computer.

then how can i open itunes back up without them gettin deleted!
or at least get to them.
i dont have internet on that comp. either.
think!IMAGINARILY
iTunes saves your library automatically.. mellow.gif Just open it up.
ariana8716
it says its missing stuff to open up and i need to reinstall it or something.
would i loose them if i had to reinstall?!
think!IMAGINARILY
No. Reinstalling would delete the files for iTunes itself, not your library.
You can even make a back-up copy of it if you feel unsafe. It should be in your Music Folder under iTunes.

i dont think you understand what happened.

so here we go:

i got an ipod video, but it needs itunes 7.0

well i keep my library on my computer that is not internet accessed.
it was at one point, which is how i had itunes 6.0

well i burned the installation from 7.0 on a disk, and loaded on that computer.
and it like got through most of the installation and then towards the end it said it couldnt finish or something..

so i exed out,
and then i tryed to just open up itunes 6.0
and now when i try to open it it says that itunes is missing stuff to be able to open and i need to reinstall,

so now that you know the story
what do i do? _unsure.gif

Try burning the installation file for iTunes 7 on a different disk..

What error do you get? Can you provide a screenshot for us?

No,because It's on a non-internet connected computer.

but
would uninstalling itunes,
then reinstalling it make me loose all my music for good?
think!IMAGINARILY
No. It definitely wouldn't.

As I said before, your music library is stored in a separate file, away from the iTunes program files. It's not gonna get deleted if you uninstall/reinstall iTunes. It's in your documents folder under iTunes, if you want to make sure..

the reason that could cause the failure of installation is A)ur cd scratch and cdrom can't read it or B)the cdrom lens is screwy/dieing out

U can always dl itunes from the apple website I believe
