Well since it's like 4AM right now, and I'm bored..might as well right?
Sorry if there's a topic about this.
Anyways I was wondering how many of you would go back to your natural hair color after dying it so often? Because I was thinking about it earlier, and
I wouldn't, because I think black (my natural color) is so boring. Haha, I guess I finally adjusted to something different from black. Well maybe as I get older I'll consider going back to it, but I guess right now, naww.
So anyways, how about you? Do you like the color of your current hair? When was the first time you dyed your hair? How many shades of color did you go through? :]

I just got my hair dyed again yesterday & I'm loving it! I've gone through a few different shades/highlights with browns & reds since a couple years ago & I finally like it a lot. I don't think I'd go back to my natural color....it's so boring! My natural is like...a dull medium brown. Now It's dark dark brown-ish(almost black not quite) with kinda red-ish highlights, but when it catches in the light the right way most of my hair looks red-ish. Yeahhh, well it's hard to describe, it's but cool.

I've never dyed my hair. Maybe because it already looks like it has been dyed, but I haven't. I'm content with my color. But it'd be nice to try.

Actually I'm kind of in your situation right now.
I was bored of my natural hair color (which is black).
So after a bit of persistant asking my mom finally agreed
to take me to a hair saloon or some sort to dye my hair.
After a few months you can tell my natural hair color was black
because of the roots were black and it looked different
from the reddish-brown highlights (the color at first looked horrid on me,
especially when the light reflected on my hair making it insanely red,
but after a bit of consistant washing the color faded slightly
and people started getting used to seeing me with the new hair color).
My mom offered to take me to get a touch up but I refused.
She complained earlier about having to touch up the darn thing making it costly.
Told her this was only a one shot deal.. So I'm growing it out instead of redying.
I've been told numerous times to "just re-dye it black!!"
But I rather save money by growing it out myself although it will take a while..
I also enjoyed my time with a different looking color.
Some people thought I looked cuter with my dyed hair (my ex actually
started taking an interest in me only after I dyed my hair the loser!!
),
some told me how they perfer me with black hair,
some thought I should dye my hair again, one or two people
I know actually tried dying their hair after seeing mine dyed..
Lots of nifty responces. It was loads of fun overall.

Even if I wanted to dye my hair, my parents wouldn't let me.

Anyways, I would dye it like brown or something. You're right; black is so boring

i used to hate my pitch-black hair. i hated how it shined in the light and how it looked blue in shiny pictures !
but now i really like it since my friends said it's really pretty and stuff. :]
i prefer highlights for me though

I never changed the entire color of my hair. I got natural-looking highlights though. They looked better than I expected. They're almost grown out now because it was over a year ago. I like my natural color and don't want to change it. Believe me. If you dye your hair once, the cycle will NEVER end. So unless you have grey hair (which I'm positive you don't) don't dye your hair. And if you're going to, get some without ammonia. It's bad for you.

I have dyed my hair a few times. But I warn you, don't die it too much. It truly damages your hair BADLY.

I've never dyed my hair....nor highlighted it. My mom's a hair stylist, but she just won't let me. It damages your hair pretty badly and sometimes it won't turn out right. If you're going to do it, be sure that you're careful and don't do it too much or else it'll really fry your hair. :D

sooo true. i dyed my hair soooo many times this year. i sort of regret dying it, but right now i'm sticking to just brown and letting it grow out.

I've never colored my hair, except for highlighting it once back in eighth grade. Well, I tried dying it a navy color but for some reason it didn't work even though I used the whole box.
I guess I like my color, I sometimes think it's a tad boring, even though all of my friends say they love it. & Then I feel special because my natural color is the color that all the emo kids want. ;D
Either that or I'm just too lazy to dye it.

i first dyed my hair as a freshman in hs. im a junior now. i had it dyed all of freshman year and highlighted half of sophmore year.
i got sick of it and the highlights made my hair look uber dry. so i waited for my hair to grow out and kept my hair natural since then. (and it was easy to grow out without making it look weird because i cut my hair REALLY short before sophmore year started.) i did have my hair completely dyed freshman year, though. my asian black was getting boring so i dyed it a dark brown/red. it look good.
and now..my hair is a few inches past my shoulders but it's natural. i like it. my natural hair is kind of brown.

I would like it back to my natrual colour. I've died my hari so many times that I've lost count. But I hate regrowth and its sort of like an addiction for me.
My natrual hair colour is boring as hell but at least it would be healthy.

never dyed my hair yet, still black.
if i ever get it dyed i'd prefer a dark brown. keeping it very natural.
but i'm in no rush to dye it either. it seems like everyone's tiring of their original hair color.

Ehh.. I'm good with my blonde-ness. I've got brown underneath which kinda sucks

but I'm gotten used to it. If I could change my hair color I'd probably either go with a slightly dark blonde or light brown... But I probably wont do that for a while.

I got it highlighted blonde once and i HATED it. Before i highlighted my hair i had naturally multicolored hair but now its boring brown. id personally like some rich caramel highlights to give it some life again. I have sorta pretty hair but i want something different. Either auburn lowlights or caramel highlights and no NOT THE CHUNKY KIND. If i ever do it it'll probably be the summer before i start highschool. It'd be like a whole new me,

My hair is between a light brown and a dirty blonde. I've never dyed it; I love it!
I have natural highlights, so I haven't ever considered altering the color of my hair.
The texture is a different story, though. >_<

Natural highlights? Lucky you! you must have pretty hair then.
I've highlighted my hair twice. Once in the salon and my uncle did 'em for me. It was blonde/golden highlights. I later dyed my hair to light brown/caramel brown. It looks kinda' red/yellowish. I'm planning to re-dye my hair again, maybe next month? My black hair is coming back in on the top. But it looks nice I guess? Ahaha*

I died my hair dark red a couple of years ago and it practically DESTROYED my hear. (ok, so I'm exaggerating, but my hair became really brittle).
I just got my hair highlighted with red streaks (which didn't kill my hair).
But then again, I don't eat a lot of protein, so maybe dying your hair will go well for you.

I kept my hair pretty blonde with highlights all through my teenage years. Once you get pregnant, you aren't suppose to dye hair. So I let mine grow back out. I'm glad I did as well. Looking back at photos it looked horrible. I have very dark brown hair which means very dark brown eyebrows. Looking back it just looks stupid. You can almost always tell when someone has colored hair, just check out the brows. My hair is natural now and I've come to really like it.

Maybe one day far away from now. Right now my hair is just too, insane.
It's mostly jet blueblack with white blonde, purple, and pink messy/chunky streaks. And it's always change dramatic colors, so right now it would definitely be difficult.

When I was younger we were trying to put red streaks in and it was some wash in stuff... and when I was done.. It left my hair.. like a really purple-ish red color.. it was horrible!

For a few years I went back to my natural color brown-blond mix. But, Now, its just brown, i dont think I would ever go back to my original color.

so far, i've had bright red, fuscia, purple, black, blonde, and natural red hair, and right now, its a mix of dark brown, light brown, blonde and red.
I might go back to my natural color eventually, but I go crazy when I dont dye it at least every month.

I've never actually dyed my hair to a different color completely. My mother use to dye the ends of my hair when I had really long hair, then I got my hair cut really short and wouldn't let her do it again. I suppose I would dye my hair once but I would always find myself going back to my natural hair color.

I can't stand my natural color.
I think I will stick with crazy colors for as long as I can, and a natural red when I get sick of looking like a crayon.
