As finals draw near and finish up, many college students, including myself, are returning their textbooks used during their 1st semester to get a portion of their money back. I spent about $420 and got $126.50 back with a pretty nice razor. But the amount of you spend for college textbooks are ridiculous sad.gif Anyways, for all those college students, how much did you spend on textbooks so far and how much did you get back or expect to?

I go to an art college and I paid a little over $250 for books this quarter and recieved $0.00 back. My heart, it ached for like an hour.

I don't even know how much I spend. This year I had to have spent $300-400. I don't get money back because I keep my books just in case I'll need them for another year. I will be selling them after I graduate.

Yeah, I thought so too when I transferred here. All my money goes on art supplies though. For this quarter the total amount I spent on art supplies (tons of paint, brushes, matte boards, varies glues, etc.) was over $400.

Wow. I paid $600+ and didn't get anything and I doubt I'm going to. Grrr. With around 70,000 students, I can see why that would be difficult for my school.

The only way I can get some money back is if I sell them to other students, but I'll have to wait till next school year for full year course texts.
