You are right in all ways....too bad the banner isnt on the Bottom of the page so its not so up-in-your-face....and i have noticed most of the advertising lately is for xnaga itself...as in the FAQ and premium. weird.

Here is some breaking news brought to you first by blogring.
Xanga will be starting to crack down on users who use Ad Remove Scripts. Punishments will be severe, without warning, and may even be as strict as a complete shut down. If you are using any script which removes the advertisement at the top of your Xanga, blogring advises you to remove it immediately, for your own good.

I was looking all over for the code to take of the banner, but I couldn't use it after all... Didn't feel right

This topic's amount of replies surprises me. This topic is not here for spamming. It is here to inform and discourage those who are disabling the banner and to stop those who want to.
It is awesome that you guys are going to keep the banner, but please do not post in here with irrelvant posts.

this is the first time that i read this but it is very true
that ios sO true even people try to take out the banner they should be happy that they made that creative xanga page i mean its not fair for the people paying premium
now that you put it that way, it kind of does make sense to keep the xanga banner on my page. never considered leaving it.. i was always just looking for ways to get rid of it! hmm.. must go edit my codes now.

Yes, I guess it is true...and anyways I'm not going to use any xanga banner removal/disabler/mover or whatever the such because I don't want to lose my xanga privleges just because I didn't want a litte banner on top of my xanga. I mean who cares?! Anyways, I hope whoever read microns post about xanga disablers will understand and want to keep xanga for free. (I know I want to!)

- I totally agree!! XANGA is available for everyone to use for free ... ALL they ask for is to be able to have that one little ad banner on the top of each page ... might as well buy xanga premium if you want to take the banner out that bad

luckly i am one who can say i never had the code on my xanga i did try the other one the opacity one but it didnt work on the original page so i got rid of it and micron guaranteed would not steer u wrong he has a reason for wat he says

there are way to customize.. like fading it and having it @ the bottom..

agreed, or help support xanga and upgrade to premium. i think it's worth it for the extra storage space too. :)
yeah, most ppl never really think of the banner is keeping xanga free this way. but hey...now they do!! besides, xanga is cool becuz they dont have those annoying pop ups. and their banners are small and just help you with your xanga.

You know what? Many member sstill use the adremover. like Joe said, ImRan (Fiji_kid) don't be a hypocrite. You're using the adremover too. And ALOT of people STILL use the adremover, even after reading this topic. And you know what's worse? Everytime I TRY to view someone's xanga who uses adremover, ALL my I.E. windows closes! And even when I use my sbc yahoo browser, it closes as well. It really annoys me. >_<" And suddently when people say adremover doesn't work anymore, they complain. yea sure people think it messes up layout, but bear with it. Otherwise, go get your own host and make up your own blog. Xanga has brought so many people together, and we're making them lost money, and then the xanga team might have to shut down. Then where will we be? >_<"
