raps ok. i don't like or hate it. i kind of dislike chingy though.

I listen to some rap, but not all. I can't stand the mainstream rap music, i.e. 50 Cent, Chingy, Lil' Jon (and pretty much the whole "crunk" movement), Juvenile, Fabolous, and the list just goes on...

I like one rap song. That's it.

I don't like rap. I dislike how they talk about women in their songs as if every girl is a whore and the only reason she's put on this planet is to "please" a guy. I don't like how we're refered as B****s either.

I hate rap....i dunno y so many people find it entertaining to listen to guys talk about drink, smoking, and womanizing.....yeah the rythum and blues part of it is respectible but the rest is junk

I like rap. In my world, I call them "poets with very understandable language". I don't like the way Chingy sings though. But he's still cool.

I 100$ hate rap. How is it music? No Dumbs... guitar? It is all computer generated... a turn-table does not count as a band. All they sing about is girls,money,cars, and sex. Or shootings and being a "wanksta". Ahh... very annoying.

Ok, I read some of the replies here and obviously a lot of you don't really understand rap music or know much about it at all. First of all, not ALL rap music is about womanizing, or drugs, or violence, or cars, or sex, or anything of the sort. Have you listened to Mos Def, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Common, Dilated Peoples, or even Kanye West? Its not fair to paint all of rap music with the same brush, especially if you're not even an avid listener. Second, it's not all computer generated or done with a turntable, wtf? How about a Tribe Called Quest?

You have probably only heard of garbage rappers such as 50 Cent or Ludacris... and Chingy!

I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion but do not lay down "facts" such as these if you don't know what you're talking about.

I was into rap a few years ago, like Nas and Mos Def, but then I sort of drifted off and my intentions went into punk and emo. but rap has its high points, not including the rappers who only talk about women and drugs. xquizit has a very good point..not all rappers talk about sex and drugs. and i like rap when I'm in the mood.

I hate rap, well, the rap they have playing on MTV right now. It's all about sex, girls, etc. All rap songs sound the same to me too. Eminem is about the only rapper that I listen to.

it really depends... this topic is so broad. There are rap artists that i do enjoy listening to, such as kanye, jay z, and NERD, and there are many that i just think are crude and lame such as eminem, 50, cash money, ying yang twins, and etc and etc and etc. It all depends, but don't hate it just because you don't understand it.

i love rap beats .. but i usually appreciate when the rap lyrics are inspirational and meaningful .. the ones about hoes, f*cking, money, etc are all things that don't really catch my attention haha

I never see the "do you like or hate rock" you know why? becuase people that dont like rock dont want to offend the people that like rock. but you people that like rock just dont care about the people that like rap so you rant about it and look if your gonna say something. keep it to your damn self.
