Who all skates. I do. And I skate because I like to skate. Whats up with these skaters that skate because they want to be cool. Its a wast of time if you skate just so you can make someone go..oooooo.... did you see that. Its sad because everyone thinks that they have to do something everyone else does to be cool. And thats wrong. If you skate for looks...and you really don't like it...just get off the board people....And if someone says your not cool because you don't skate....tell them to kiss you ass..and that there a sad person....because if someone says that. they skate for looks to.

I hate how everyone started wearing Vans though.
The way I see it, it ruined Vans reputation.. if you know what I mean.

I skate. Not because it's cool or anything. I skate 'cause I love it. I've been skating for a few years now.
A lot of people in my area skate just because they think it's cool. It's kinda pissing me off. I mean, if you're gonna skate, do it because you like it! Not because you want to be popular and show off.

I havent skated in so long since this summer actually right now im trying to get some inspiration to get back out there so ive been watching alot of skate videos like Girl and other random stuff from like the Dew tour

so true half the guys in my city skate ughh i think its the trends for boy this yr so that why most guy do it & they look all poser-ish too on the other hand i love skater there hott!

When I skate around the city I usually just put on some headphones and cruise around. It's more free and more enjoyable that way.

I just started skating 4 days ago. Ever since I pulled off my first ollie, been addicted to it. Yeah, I know it might seem a little poser-ish because I'm older than most cats and even little kids are better than me, but I'm just into it. Yesterday (my 3rd day), I was trying to ride off stairs and paid the price for being over my head, so yeah I maybe rushing into it, but its all I do now. No pain, no scars.

Any advise for a newbie skater?

ah. i skate. but not well. my friend, kalum, tried to show me how to go off a ramp in my backyard but it didn't work out so well. i still love it though. for some reason, it's like a roller coaster. have a sence of danger is fun.

I agree I skateboard but just a little..I don't have a place to and I'm no where good enough to go to a park. I don't even wear vans. I got DC because my brother said i needed skate shoes and I;m not gonna get Vans until I skate a lot...But I love skating

whats imbo??? you dont need to dress a certain way or look a certain way to be a skater. Even if you suck you can still be a skater.People can tell to. I love to skate i skate mostly every week i even skate in nikes(not sb's) because im too lazy to buy skate shoes cuz i mess up so much and dont have that kinda of money. But is definatly enoing seeing people with nike sb;s and they dont skate i understand they look good, but comon.

I wear slip on vans, mostly because they are slip on, and comfy.

I longboard. Its so chill and relaxing and I love it.

I Skate, but I try not to annoy anybody. I'm not one of those arrogant guys who skate, I'm not serious about it or anything, I just do it in my many days of spare time because it's my hobbie 5 years now i've been skating Only people I know I annoy are the D**kheads around the streets that shout abuse at my mates and me Love p-ing them off.

Also, for anyone who skates - You seen Habitat and Nike's new videos? They're awesome. Stefan Janoski - Winner Had one of their premieres here last week.

Some of them are just annoying because of the comments they give to newcommers. Reason I stopped skating.

I love skating...but I find it so amusing that people think that most new black skaters do it because of lupe and pharell...untrue. I was skating before either one of them came out and I think that being black, before those guys came out, skating was considered taboo. It was just something that black kids weren't supposed to do, but now that more people are getting into it, I personally think that it is good for skating. Chalking up skating to two people is the same thing as saying that black kids only rock vans because of the pack....

i skated before both of them too. i never thought it was something black kids weren't supposed to do, or taboo. i never knew anyone to care either way.

Yeah like out in the city it's cool because everybody pretty much skates out there...Over in Jersey City however, there weren't that many black skaters, and the ones who did skate always recieved hell from everybody else.
