After I picked up that book, I couldn't put it down. It was really good. Pretty dramatic in some scenes. [:

I've seen the movie and I remember reading some of the book. RALPH MACCHIo hawt.

I really didn't like that book. It was very well written and everything, but it just isn't the type of material I like to read. -shrugs- We watched the movie once, but I only liked it a little better than the book.

I have very, very, very bad memories about this book.

So freshman year we had to do an oral book report; basically read it and present on it for a few minutes in front of the class. Well, I didn't feel like reading it since I didn't think I'd like it so instead I read the Cliffs Notes. Uh, NOT smart. So I made a really, really, really bad fool of myself in front of everyone.

And then finally, a few months later, I did read it, and lo and behold, I really really liked it. mad.gif
Simba
I remember reading this book a few years back.

But if I'm not mistaken, the movie didn't really impress me at all. ermm.gif
Maybe I'm thinking of another movie for a book though.
malimars

The movie wasn't as great as the book. The book was more memorable. The guy who played Dally was f**king hot. Even as a lesbian I still think that.
lumpy
this book/movie is great...just about the only thing i remember is "the rumble" and "Stay Gold Ponyboy"...to this day i still say "stay gold", that phrase means alot.
hi-C
That book was my *ish* back in 7th grade.

Danielle-Son
I had to read it for school last year and LOVED it. I've now read like 4 other books by S.E. Hinton, and they were all great, especially That Was Then, This Is Now.

I don't know yet. My teacher's still correcting it if you're talking about my grade. As for me finishing it. I did it in 3 hours that night.

Awhh I love this book. I love the movie too. Tom Cruise was pitifully unattractive though. But Matt Dillon and Rob Lowe weren't too bad. Haha.
miiichellley
I read it in 8th grade too! and saw the movie.
I liked it, i thought it was good _smile.gif
Jackaroe
I loved this book! And to think that S.E. Hinton wrote it when she was just in her teens. It's so awesome. It's one of the first books to ever make me cry.
Stefanny
Yeah, I loved that book. The movie's really good too.

Read the book & watched the movie at school _smile.gif
