I'd just like to say that I was surprised that Mayer agreed to be in a commercial. That's just off character. Perhaps it's only because VW is having a free guitar promo?

i lost my respect for him after this ad beacuse of the fact that im agaisnt the expoitation of the aldo brand and its suposed aids campaign. its all a nifty trend.

Yeah, they've had a lot of different people in the Volkswagon commercials. They always find a way to get high profile people in them. Like those older ones with Peter Stormare with that fake german accent.
The new ones with the people playing guitar have had Slash and Nigel Tufnel in them too.

I saw this commercial a couple of weeks ago, and I loved it. Whoever thought of making the Volkswagon a guitar speaker and then putting John Mayer in a commercial is loved, very very loved.

i hate volkswagen commercials..they're so retarded now. from the commercial, it seems like john mayer has no personality. i don't listen to music so i have no opinion on his talent.

yeah hes OK, not my type of style of blues but he is indeed good in blues. I like the other car commercials with Michael Angelo Batio and Slash from G N' R. but this commercial was cool.
