Has anyone tried yoga? was it worth it, and enjoyable?
i've been thinking about signing up for classes. i need exercise, but not any 'spiritual healing' or anything.
i think it counts as a sport...

so i'm sure it's supposed to go in here.

i take kickboxing in my school and every friday we unwind with yoga. but we do it on hardwood floors so it kinda ruins the effect. anywaiii... yoga provides amazing stretch to your body and really relaxs you in the right conditions (my teacher does it so we actually get a bit of a work out). however, yoga isn't going to give you a killer bod just by itself. you need to loss fat first before you use yoga. yoga tones muscles... so basically it's to improve on a bod that's already in semi good shape.
btw... don't fall asleep in class if you do that it...

I was open to it, and I liked it. I had to do it for crew and it feels really good afterward. But yeah it only tones your body
showstopper!

i had a few sessions of it, it really relaxes the body but if you want excerise i don't recommend, you don't move enough, just a lot of position holding. and in the end, you get to sleep =D
Try dances, they're GREAT workouts, My first class is in about a month =D
Treadmills are also great, get a pass to the gym for great workout - Be committed though!

I've done Yoga before. It's really relaxing. I would recommend Pilates instead. With Pilates you're toning and working on your balance and it's also relaxing. It helps your flexability, like yoga.

We did this yoga excercise in gym one week in 9th grade, and I could never get into the relaxation mode, I would always ask my friend beside me, how do we relax and measure our heart beat. I tried my best but I still couldn't figure the yoga out.

we do it for cross country/track conditioning.
I LOVE IT. you really need to have balance and flexibility, though. i have no balance whatsoever. HAHA.
