I read about Second Life somewhere on the net, and I really want to play it and see what it's all about, but it wants me to download software, and I'm a little afraid of picking up a virus that way.

Has anyone else downloaded it?
Is it worth it?

You won't get a virus, but I think the game is silly and people put way too much time into it.

I signed up but I haven't downloaded it. I heard it takes a lot to run it. My computer's a tad aged so I probably shouldn't try. And the fact that I have Dialup doesn't help.
