For Catholics.. no. Now it's not. It used to be a sin because hundreds of years ago, people used to think that there were tiny humans in semen. But we all know now that semen has sperm, and not tiny humans. They used to think that the tiny humans were ejaculated into the woman's womb and that's how they were born. They thought masturbation was a sin because it "killed people." And the whole.. "masturbation = sex before marriage".. It was disproved because it was proven that humans have healthy urges that are better of fulfilled by yourself than with someone else.

And if I'm wrong, then my religions books must be wrong as well, since they were all approved by the Catholic church before they were put to press...

I think everyone has their own beliefs and I don't think its a sin because they would have told us by now. Also I had a teen class and they said that masterbation is better then having sex cause you can't get pregnunt. The teachers even said that our bodys need it so I don't think its a sin.

We have a big responsibility here. God has given us sexuality. He instructs us concerning our sexuality. We are men. The vast majority of us have strong sex drives. How do we honor God with that? Specifically, how do we honor God when we are alone, and desire sexual gratification? We will answer this.

To answer this, we must first understand the dynamics of masturbation. It is my opinion, that masturbation includes the following:

Sexual urges
Sexual thoughts
Sexual pleasure

When you combine those elements together, lust results. Now, some claim they think about happy thoughts and not sexual thoughts. If this is you, please refrain from trying to argue in this thread. 99% of men think sexual thougths while masturbating (also, married men, please do not ask if masturbation is ok for you). My goal is to find sound instruction for the vast majority of single men. So again, lust is a result of those three elements combined.
