What do u think about when u masturbate? Girls (if your a guy) or guys (if your a girl). You may imagine "doing them" like a hoe, and ya just think dirty thoughts. If your thinking stuff like that then ur lusting after that person so ur sinning..

from a non religious point of view..i think its still sinning cause i mean ur pretty much fantasizing about having sex with some girl...and i wonder what that girl would thing.

So first the actual stated belief of the catholic church in referenced to the CCC. Catholic Catechism of the Catholic Church. CCC: 2352
By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. "Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action."138 "The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose." For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of "the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved."139

In other words... its wrong. However CCC 2352 is cross referenced to CCC 1735

Imputability and responsibility for an action can be diminished or even nullified by ignorance, inadvertence, duress, fear, habit, inordinate attachments, and other psychological or social factors.

In other words... Masturbating can also be okay. Notice it includes social factors, ignorance, and habit. In the end the catholic church leaves it to you as an individual to decide if it wrong or right.

So I go to a catholic HS, they rather encourage abstinance and have people masturbate rather than having the misuse of condoms and getting people pregnant. But they also teach how to use condoms i remember the whole school last year had a whole session on correct usage of condoms.... and to believe theyd do that in a catholic hs when shit like condoms are not well liked among catholic belief.

I could really care less about it being a 'Sin' to masturbate.

It's not a sin. God gave us sexual desires, He made us to desire sex. That's why we're attracted to one another, because we all have that sexual tension. It's just up to us to control those sexual desires. It would just suck that you marry someone and you can have all the sex you want but they can't pleasure you like you can to yourself. Just disappointing.

i go to a evangelical formoson christian church.. i think that the rules liek that aren't fair and the 10 commandments or however u spell it. if you are a jacked up person and you know someone who has a great personality, why cant you want that personality? it'll make you a better person. and all the other ones you named.. people are borned in the ghetto and have bad influences all around em. is it their fault? no... why do they go to hell for that?

i think sin is bad according to buddism cus, you are not suppose to want anything.

if you learn about the eight prophet, it tells you how to become a better person instead of getting more then u wanted, greedy, bitching, and etc.

as a buddism, you should always:

respect becuase thats show you are wise and caring
be calm all the time cus its a "balance feeling"
dont be nervous becuase it can affect how you do.
have enough money ... meaning .. dont be poor or wealthy ..
dont take too much .. cuz its greedy and selfish
dont have TOO MUCH things
dont " want tooo much "
dont want anything badly .

to be a buddism, you need t o be a calmy normal person, who is wise and respectful person.

wanting too much
getting too much
too much wealth, you might wanna share your wealth ..
having too much of something such as .. clothes .. food .. things.. car.. and etc..
selfish
greedy
not sharing

According to most interrpretations of the bible, yes masturbation is a sin. The bible states that any sexual activity that is not an attempt to procreate (make babys) is a sin. Personaly I think it is an outdated notion, but it makes sense. When the bible was written they were still building the population, so they needed people to not waste their precious seed if it was not going to end up in a woman's vagina. This could be why the bible speaks against homosexuals. Clinicly speaking, you should jack off reguarly to avoid prostate cancer, unless you can manage to orgasm some other way.
