I attempted it in 9th grade honours (although, I'm ashamed to note that I only did so to get the elusive bonus marks), and gave up half-way.

I am tempted to try it again...

wow!! i didn't know there was a Novel Writing Novel....break out the late night caffiene cravings, crumpled papers, and a fresh pack of ink pens...it's on! hahaha! i want to write a novel...but what to write about is the problem.....hmmmm......

Write about whatever comes to mind—that's the spirit of NaNoWriMo!

i would love to... but procrastination always kills me and i always seem to have to go over every idea and rewrite them two or three times lol.
