I think some people wear like dark-ish colors. Black, dark blue, deep purple. I dunno.

it depends what kind of look you want to go for.

edit: oh, well i guess you're a guy i'd go for a white, black or dark grey tux. if you're wearing a black tux don't wear a white shirt with it.

bold: turquoise in satin only, or red.
wintery: white, light grey, silver, icy blue or icy blue
festive: gold, red, dark green

the type of dress is a whole other story

for a guy: besides a tux, like a vest color (if you are wearing a tux) baby blue, turquoise, blue, (any blue haha), red, green, silver. or if its only semi formal and you're wearing a button down shirt: blue (any shade) or red or even grey is okay.

for a girl: depending on the material of the dress, the colors: baby blue, turqoise, navy, darkish colors, black is always acceptable, maroon, even red, green, white, silver.

I would think blue and white?

I'm thinking any icy or cool colors like gray, blue, purple. But if you have warm skin tones you may want to try off white or something.

i'd go with maroon... just cuz i love the color. :)
