you can buy a shitload of clothes and other more important things for the amount of money that you spend on a purse...

okae, so you have an LV bag... now what?? i think it`s pointless.
LatinaLady
i odnt like them why would i want those little designs all on my bag im not into that
Yemmerz
im not good with bags. so im not gonna buy one that I'll most likely lose.
tinababy143
i think they're okay..it is a HUGE fad tho so now everyone just HAS to get one..i think the rainbow ones are kinda cute..i seen a pink one i like too..but i think coach is better hehe
dromero986
i don't like them. honestly find them kinda ugly. but that's just me.
i prefer coach purses. and kate spade happy.gif
synthase
they have some cute stuff but i wouldnt be like "OMFG I NEED A LV BAG (etc.) RIGHT NOW!!"
sunissed14127
I like them, but If it came to buying one I would pass. My grandma got me one, but I think that's going to be the only one I ever own.
SandRAWRz
i have a real one..i love it
but LV isn't really my thing
i love coach
Gigi
LV bags have been around longer than the high school girls have been carrying them, and the mere history of the label deserves my respect. I mean, it's just not appropriate to call LV a fad. LV never intended for itself to be a fad, like all labels, it wanted classic pieces for people to use for many years to come.

I think that only a certain type of person can properly execute the usage of one, and that usually doesn't include high school girls.

Which is why even when I'm tempted to use one, I won't. I'm waiting until I won't be judged for it.

And besides, you can't not admire Marc Jacobs for his amazing talent.

louis vuitton has actually been around for years. my aunt said they were popular in the 80's and 90's too. i hate those regular monogram pochettes. theyre so boring and theyre so small. i spend 300$ just getting a canvas and a white multi colored one. but i like the totes. i have the trapeze gm now and i like that one so much better because the LV isnt really that noticeable and it isnt in that canvas color..which i hate.

I am a purse fanatic. I'm completely obsessed with them. I love purses.

SO, I do own Louis Vuitton purses, bags, and wallets.

Oh and as stated, Louis Vuitton is not a fad. It's been around for a really long time and it's gonna stay around. What's a fad is high school or younger girls owning expensive brand name purses. The purse and it's company itself is not a fad.
EddieV
I have a wallet.
angelrevelation
they CAN be nice... it depends which ones. but i don't think many girls can pull it off, since most of them are more adult-like.

the brown and gold patterned, or the white with rainbow patterned ones were more of a fad... which has kind of stopped. but i like the 'cruise collection' ones like this
KissMe2408
Too many girls have them now...
I wouldn't buy it because they are so popular, it kinda becomes unpopular. lol.
Like I loved the ugg boots when they first came out.
Then all of a sudden the whole frickin world is wearing them, so not so much.
The same goes with these bags.
They're interesting, but I wouldn't cough up hundreds for it.
HappyHeart
I find it stupid too because the girls all buy the same Coach and Louis Vuitton. They're expensive and not even that pretty looking. They also have a lot of those sequin purses but they look like big sacks to me.

Seems like so many girls at my school have an LV bag now.. I just think it's stupid to spend $200+ for a friggin purse. I think there might have already been a poll for such a popular teen subject so sorry if it was repeated.

theyre prob all knockoffs.

Those are $1,570! :(
..How can they be a fad?!?!

Haha, theres sooooo many girls at school who get knockoff LV bags from Columbus and say its real.
lilith
waste of money.. but they are very high quality thou. sometimes its worth the money but sometimes it dont.
Gypsy Eyes
Eh LV bags look tacky and pre-teen. Chloe and Marc Jacobs are the way to go.
heatherl5
I dont carry purses. I do however own two LV purses. My grandma bought one for me and then my mothers coworker gave her her old one. I thought they were pretty ugly lol. I actually like the regular purses better than these.
falsetigerlimbs
I don't like the way LV purses look. I'm not a fan of repetitive monograms.

I prefer Chanel. ;)
They're much more simple and elegant.
SinfullySweet
I like coach best.
MyMichelle
I like them. They're classy.

I find that most girls who say they wouldn't spend more than a few hundred on purses are the ones who wish they had them the most, haha.
Gypsy Eyes
If you think LV is classy, oh boy do you need to go to charm school.

Saks and bloomingdales barely even carry them anymore loool.gif
Elba
If I was rich I would buy them... just cause that's what rich bitches do.

I prefer Coach bags, though. Mainly because they're more affordable - and there are way different styles.
BOOGERSHAHA
eh. the preteen girls have ruined LV for me and i'm just not a fan of their prints anymore.

i saw the most beautiful white ysl bag in a magazine and i can't find it anywhere online...well not like i can afford that stuff anyways but yeah, ysl > lv.
Jinny
In my opinion, the design on the Louis Vuitton bags are.. echh. The logo-thing on the bag is pretty.. normal, so why so expensive?

I prefer Coach bags!

I like the oldschool brown because it reminds me of my mom, and I think she's classy. mellow.gif

Sorry if I don't give a shit about what Saks and Bloomingdales carry. I find it quite funny that you would actually say that some specific stores (which I don't even shop at) don't carry them. haha
I don't depend on them to tell me what "fashion" is.

OH and to everyone who says they like Coach better

Coach is basically the most trashy "designer" brand (if you can even call it that) I have ever come across in my entire life. Most of the stuff "Coach" has designed is pretty ugly. Please get a f**king Marc Jacobs or something.

Have to agree with that one

Agreed also.
Coach purses are ugly, and all the girls that have them think they're so glamorous. They're ugly and cheap, and barely qualify as "designer"
pinacoolada
^ HEYY. I like coach! I have two bags and a wallet. They're cute.

I don't own any LV, but I think it's okay to spend $200+ if it's good quality, because it'll last you like 10 years. It's better than buying a cheap purse that you'll replace every 6 months or so
Lolitakitty
Louis vuitton bags aren't really my style, but I do think they're cute.
transcendentalism
i like LV :) the bags aren't really the sort that i'd carry around though; i prefer my andy warhol tote :)

and like a couple others on here, i'm not a coach fan. their stuff looks tacky, especially when the logo's everywhere. i still haven't smelled the perfume though.
kimmytree
^ Not all of their purses have the "C" print all over them.

I reeeallly want this one. _smile.gif http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?...category_id=258

As far as LV goes, I like the little pouchetts and some of the other styles, but only the ones with the brown print. Some of their other purses are really ugly.
idalisa
I think they're ok but i cant imagine me with it :DD

i know, that's why i said especially rolleyes.gif
the one you posted isn't bad-looking!
technics
I wouldn't mind having one. They just cost too much. ):
moorepocket
i love LV. I bought one for my sister, and I'm thinking of buying another one.
tokyo-rose
Too expensive, and some of them don't even look that good.
RealTalk
They're played out to me. If I'm going to spend that much money on a purse I'm going to make sure it's one that is unique.
