I wouldn't know much, but this topic might help.

I hear that PSP has less features than PS, but I could be wrong. mellow.gif

I'm not sure, but I think Photoshop is a little more advanced? I dunno, I use PSP 9 and it's fine. [:

Well, then really, if you want something that offers more and is indeed more complex then Photoshop is your program.

Oh god, I sound like an adobe salesperson. rolleyes.gif

It is definately more complex.

^ True, but Photoshop is much more expensive. PSP does have a lot of features if you know the tricks; Photoshop is for more advanced users but has a lot more features to it.

Depends what version, what branch and if you can nab a student discount.

For anyone who cares... Elements 5.0 (not regular photoshop) just came out recently and I want to get my hands on it. It supposedly has a function that allows you to create flash galleries. Just thought I'd share that... Since I thought it was so cool.
technicolour
Elements is Cheaper. Much. By..uhm, a HUGE fraction.

Anyways, photoshop CS (full version) runs for oh, about, $600. However, you can get student discounts all over the place.

Reili: 1/6th the price (-ish, 600$ (or 300$-ish with a discount) versus 60-90$). Technically it's more photo-editing oriented than Photoshop. If you do a lot of photo-editing (uh, like me) it turns into your best friend. Mmm... You can't do vectors on it though (because there's no pen tool), but depending on what you want to do, it can be a way better deal. Uh, yeah. Sorry to take over your post Kristina. XD
Stefanny
Elements is about $99. Like the above said, photoshop CS costs about $600. PSP is around $100; I got my PSPX on sale for $78.

--------200th post :]
helloxtine
photoshop has more features :] psp normally comes with animation shop that offers more though
Stefanny
^ PSPX and PSPXI don't come with Animation Shop. You have to download it seperately since Jasc switched to Corel, and Animation Shop is still part of Jasc.
x_curse_of_the_curves_x
psp7 doesn't come with animation shop either well the free trial anyways.

LMAO I never thought i'd be quoting myself, although it's technically Reili, but she's right. I didn't even think of it. Thank god for Reili and saving my butt again.
