My friend's birthday's coming up and I'm making multiple mixes with different themes for her. I'm pretty proud of myself, I finished the "break up", "dance", "inspiration", "angst", and "car songs" yesterday. But I'm having a little trouble with is the "love, lust, sex" themed mix.

I don't want it to be entirely made up of love songs... because that'd be way too mushy. I'm trying to get a raw, hard, sexy feeling in there too, you know? It'd be a lot easier if she was into hip hop, ... sex songs galore, right? But no. She's more into Indie, Rock/Punk/Pop, and Electronica. That kinda stuff.

So, what I basically have compiled so far is something like...

I'm nowhere happy with what I've got and I seem to be coming into this block. I can't think of ANYTHING that's about love without "omg, we broke up!" or "i miss you!" or gah.

Can you guys think of anything?

Um... most of the love songs I'm thinking of are always about how much somebody misses so and so and he or she wishes things hadn't gone wrong. Angsty love songs.

I'm looking for something happier.

Anberlin has a ton of songs like that.
