I suck at badminton. I can barely hit the little birdie over the net.
So obviously, I haven't played on a team.

We don't have a team here. But that's our next unit in gym. I think it's easier than tennis once you get the birdie over the net... it's easier to keep it going. It's been around for ages. My opa used play it with me and my brother when we were kids. Hah.

i love it toooooo. we have a team for the middle and high. middle school's season is almost at an end, and so far they're undeatable!! i'm in the high, and season starts spring. very exciting. just like any sport, home games and away games. verrry fun. though people think its nerdy.
eh, it kinda is.
but i don't care, it's fun.
and i'm good at it. last year i was second seat doubles. i'm good at drops, and my partner is great at slams, and we have a great way of moving around our side. i take front she does back, or sometimes we go side and side. its so much fun.

nope. we don't really have a team, but we do play it in gym. i think my class is playing it one of these quarters this year. i'm okay. sometimes im good and get the birdie over, sometimes i suck. i have to play it more this year to see how good i am. it is hard though to hit over a little light birdie.

Well from a tennis to badminton perspective, yes, it would probably make her shots faster, such as smashes, but they might be out of bounds. From a badminton to tennis perspective, she'll screw up her wrist.
I LOVE BADMINTON. I went to a camp summer before freshmen year, and I made the team freshmen year, playing doubles and singles. I like doubles better, but I'm apparently better at singles.

It was a really fun experience by just meeting new people and improving my game throughout the season. I love the quickness of the game. It is
the fastest racket sport. Fast reflexes, yo!
A lot of people I know, especially the non-asians, are like, "Omg. Badminton? That's like not even a sport, and it's so easy!" Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can hit the ball over a tennis net and I can shoot a basketball successfully, but I'm not about to say any of those sports are easy. There's more to a game than meets the eye, so I hate it when people judge badminton like that. Y'all just wait until you play some real badminton players, then we'll see how "easy" it is.
Oh, I have a question.
What are some catchy slogans to put on a badminton shirt? It's so difficult to think of a good one. Maybe I'm just not very creative. The other year, we had a shirt that said, "Drop it like it's hot", which was probably the best badminton slogan ever.

I played badminton for the first time when I was in 8th grade.
My friend from a different school incouraged me to play it
when I went to high school so that when it was his school
vrs mine we would be able to see each other at least two times every year.
Still playing and planning on joining this year but I need to work out,
my arm muscles are weak and I haven't improved
much since my lack of using wrists when I do play.

Is that so? How do you hold your racket?
My coach tells me we're suppose to be
holding it like we're shaking hands..
Mmm.. You should try to hold it correctly..
I seem some intense games that my friend Darren played.
He was holding his racket incorrectly most if not all the time
so he had a blister around his thumb after a few singles games..

That's.... not good. I did it once when I was a beginner and I like stunned by index finger for a few seconds. I never did it again.
At the end of the season last year, I started to receive pain in the area between my index finger and my thumb. I don't know exactly what it was, but it was a muscle of some sort of another I think? Supposedly, it was because I gripped my racket too tightly. Anyways, I started to pad/wrap my hand, and that really helped. I'm not sure if there's an easy solution like that for you. You kind of just have to change it by yourself, as difficult as that is.

Badminton is tougher because you get a better cardio workout (running) since it is the fastest racket sport. Tennis is slower, but needs more power behind each swing. So it's a matter of endurance for each. Oh yeah, and badminton has more of a variety of shots, which take a while to master while you can only do basically one type of "shot" with the ball being able to hit the floor and all in tennis. In addition, badminton has a smaller racket, which demands a better hand-eye coordination.

i play tennis a ton & when i first tried badminton i was horrible! cuz like in tennis you NEVER use your wrist & in badminton it's all wrist i guess? soo i was pretty bad. but now; after doing it in PE i have improved. luckily i can pick up on sports pretty fast so i don't have to embarrass myself.

Badminton is hardcore.
I used to be one of those people who thought it was super lame, but I recently got the oppurtunity to watch a friend's badminton game against another school, and holy crap- it's INTENSE. Your reflexes have to be amazing, and I imagine it's gotta be tough to learn all the different swing techniques... from under the birdie, next to the birdie, over the birdie, etc...
I wish I was good at badminton.

I never understood when people claimed that "badminton's not a sport". Even from nobody telling me that it was one, I could tell when I was younger just from watching people that it required a hell of a lot more work than normal. And plus, our badminton team runs more than any other sport, even football.
