Ok.. the title says it all

...can somebody please 'enlighten' me on this?

...i use this codes but it didn't work...

I just tested your code & it worked in firefox. An alert displayed and the page then redirected to the linked url.

Firefox 1.5.0.7 os x, safari 2.04 gave the same result.

...i just tested it again and it worked on firefox and IE..it's just my stupid mistake for trusting the 'preview'...
