1. How can I get my hair to grow longer quickly? I've gotten many suggestions on this, but I'm asking for more because I'm desperate. Haha. And I want it naturally too (like nothing having to do with pills).
2. My hair is dark dark brown (asian colored hair!) and I'm planning to dye it midnight blue. Will I have to bleach my hair for it? >_> Because I thought you didn't need to bleach your hair if the color is dark too.

I'm not sure about how to make your hair grow longer, faster. But here's a link to some information about it.

Well, I've heard of this shampoo called Mane n' Tail or something like that should make ur hair grow longer. But as for you dying your hair, I don't think you'd have to bleach it. If you were going to lighten the color, then yes, but you're not so no need. =] Midnight blue will look so pretttyy.. =D

I'm pretty sure those types of shampoo just keep your hair healthier. I don't think there's anything you can do that makes your hair grow faster because it really depends on your diet and your body.
But I'm no expert, so... yeah.
And you don't need to bleach your hair to dye it dark blue. That I'm sure of.

Oh. Okay, thanks. It wont damage my hair as much, YAY! :]]
My friend said that to make my hair grow longer, you should massage your hair three minutes daily to get the blood flowing. Is that true ? o_o

^ If you get the blood circulating, it does help.
But you dont have to massage it daily, just massage your scalp while shampooing/conditioning.
And as for the color, you shouldnt have to lift it, unless its a little lighter than your natural color.

I heard that if you brush your hair upside down, like bend over and brush from root to tip like that..it makes it grow longer.
Whether its true or not though..I'm not sure.

Yes, I've heard that too. I think it works.

I have no clue where you guys are getting your information... but it's not true. Maybe you guys should check your facts before you post things up and tell people to do things to themselves that wont work.
By massaging your hair, you ARE bringing a little bit more circulation to your follicles, but it DOESN'T help hair grow faster. What it does is keep your follicle healthier and it might reduce hair loss as you grow older.
There's nothing you can do to make your hair grow faster, but there are a lot of preventative things you can do to keep it from falling out and being unhealthy.

That might help explain a few things.
I find that a lot of you guys like to post up information you pick up from random people without checking facts. Such as the person who said in some other topic that shaving causes hair to grow thicker... that is NOT true. Or the person who was rambling about DNA and got half of their information wrong...
Stop misleading people. Check your friggin' information.

^ Proove that after shaving hair doesn't grow thicker..because..IT DOES. My legs are proof! Hell, my mother's legs are proof!

No... it appears darker which makes it seem like it is thicker, but it is NOT any thicker than it was before you shaved.
Duel Credit Anatomy & Physiology. It's an interesting and informative class. Look into it.
And why it appears darker: Hair tapers down at the ends and when you shave it, you cut it before it tapers so it'll remain that length until the end of it's lifetime. It does NOT cause more hair to grow and it does NOT cause your hair to grow thicker and thicker.

i agree, when you shave your legs, the hair does NOT grow back thicker. how does that even make sense? if that was true, after a while, wouldn't you have monster thick hair sprouting off your legs from all the times you shaved?
yeah and really, if there was something that made your hair grow faster, i'm sure everybody would be using it.

heh, that's true. my dad actually doesn't like me to shave, and he keep bugging me about it. he says that the hair'll grow back as thick as his 'stache. but heck, it's not thicker; it's just darker.
