okay, so like 4 years ago i was talking to my friend who randomly gave me a screenname to one of his friends. we started talking and we were talking online for about a year or so and i knew someone else who knew him too but i was in 6th grade so i didn't want to meet him or anything

4 years later this same kid transfers to my school. my friend told me he goes to my schoo now and plus he was in 2 of my classes so i was like hm maybe i should say hi or something cause he seemed so lonely.

so okay, the other day i asked him if he was going to homecoming (next weekend) and he was all "oh i don't know anyone why would i go?" and i was saying something like "well you know me" and he was going to say something and he was like "yeah" and then it felt like he was going to say something. so later on he asked me who i was going with and i said my friends and he was like oh you don't go with dates? and i'm like eh i don't have one and plus a lot of people go with their friends and hewas like oh last year i went with a date and a couple of my friends and it was really fun. so okay, i don't think he's the hottest kid on earth, but i want to know him more cause he seems nice and friendly. but okay, the twist is that when he came to this school he became friends with this other kid. it's like his only friend though. and the thing is, i like the person he's friends with. i've liked him since lsat year but i havne't seen anything but i dunno...

anyways, should i ask my friend to be my date to homecoming?
