Full Version: ZUNE, microsoft's ipod killer.
I don't even have an mp3 player but if I were to buy one I'd get an Ipod instead.

I don't have an Ipod. :( I had a cheap mp3 player, but my son threw it in the toilet. I suppose it really belonged there anyway, since it sucked.
I guess at this point, I could go either way.

Yeah, I definitely want a Zune. I'm glad it came out because that's one less Apple product I have to deal with. *sigh of relief*
the zune is sold EVERYWHERE, like in every gaming store, every tech store, everywhere, also toys r us. man they are trying to get everyone to buy it. I saw it everywhere i went . EB, toys r us, best buy, target...... just to name a few.
maybe i will get it if something happens to my nano and i wanna replace it. but other than that i wont get it now, and i still want microsoft to fix its hard edges and stuff. the software isnt as smooth as they said yet.

i have an iPod mini, and I dislike it, but that's only because it's broken down on me a couple of times and i've had to get it repaired, and twice replaced.
other than that, i love my ipod.
it's simple and not hard to use.
i dislike the ZUNE, it looks large and very annoying.
and i don't think it'll do well.
and my parents hate Microsoft.

^ Yeah, the iPod Mini SUCKS. Man, everyone I know has had to send theirs to Apple at least twice. That's probably why they discontinued their production. Also, the Zune is already doing well, so I think you thought wrong. 
It's unrealistic to think it will beat out an iPod at this point. I mean, it's brand new. This is kinda like a trial for Microsoft. A Beta test if you will to see how they can do in the MP3 business. Just like the iPod, the Zune will get better and better and I honestly believe when the next Zune or the one after that comes out, it will take over the iPods stronghold. It's already competing quite nicely for its first generation.

My parents got me a zune for Christmas. I didn't even know what it was at first. I had to do some research on it. I like the zune just fine, though I don't know much about mp3 players.

I'm sticking with my iPod Nano. The Zune does have some cool stuff like the sharing files thing but you have to find someone else with a Zune too, and it's a bit late, plenty of people have iPods already.

HAHAHA, oh my God, I was choking on water when I saw that!I saw the Zune at Office Depot and I really don't like it. It's really bulky and not shiny
Fortunately, I like the Zune's size. It feels more sturdy. I was always hella careful with my mini iPod...and I would HATE to have a nano. Those things feel like they're going to break if you just pinch it too hard.

well the package looks nice, even though they copied the kind of simplicity ipod had, but i like the energy the packaging has. Even though its a little big, much bigger than the ipod 60 GB or now the 80GB. They took on a new color brown lol.
I think this will do better than any other product other than apple just cause its microsoft. I mean what american doesnt like ms. But i am actually thinking of getting it, it has a huge screen also. NICE.

I think it's pretty ugly compared to the 1st generation. The new menu is hideous.

zunes are amazzing.
They arent all hyper sensitive like ipods.
Like okay im a clutz so theyre pretty good for me cuz I've dropped mine a dozen times now and it doesn't even look damaged and everything plays great.
Plus the updates for it are fantastic.

The 4 and 8 Gig Zunes look nice.I haven't seen how the menu works though.
ugh. My brother has one. He hates it. It freezes up the comp a LOT.
