I am wondering if someone here is using that because I reformated my pc and the pop up keeps popping up. So I'm not sure if it's real or just an ad. Thank you!

WinAntiVirus causes your computer to become unstable. It's like a type of spyware. It's a scam.

This can help:

Oh jeez that thing is heck annoying. I'm definitely going to try that program Elaine. Thanks a lot. happy.gif

Edit: You have to buy this? ohmy.gif

Oh, I didn't realize that!

I'll go find some more programs to help with it..

^ Yeah, the scan is free, but to remove everything you have to buy it. ermm.gif

Yeah I should look for something else too.

These have info and some programs that might help:

And there's a Windows Malware Remover that might help, but I'm not sure..

There are probably some other programs from Microsoft that could help too..

Thanks a lot Elaine. I'll take a look at those.

Also, while I was looking for some stuff to help take care of this, I found four useful programs in this forum.

Ad-Aware SE
Spybot-Search & Destroy
SpywareBlaster
SpywareGuard

I've actually heard of all of those programs, but I've only bothered installing the first one, which works pretty well.
