im not so sure about an iriver h10, i have u10 and clix - linux? I didn't need it, all you have to do is upload it by usb onto your mp3 player.. i believe it doesn't accept .mov ** .avi is best for uploading

Also, there's been some question about using the H10 as a portable harddrive. Apparently our original supposition was correct. The H10 will not be compatible with non-Windows computers (Macs, Linux, etc.). To many this may not be an issue, but it's good to be aware of this and the fact that previous iRiver devices were compatible.

Guess not.

And I'm pretty sure there's no way to play videos on it.

I bet you could port Linux to the H10. wink.gif
warriors1035
...huh?
lol

edit:
i just googled and found rockbox (http://www.rockbox.org)
does anybody ahve any knowledge about that?
mipadi
Rockbox is basically an open-source operating system for a variety of MP3 players. I don't think it's based on Linux, but in this case it serves a similar purpose as Linux for the iPod.
sadolakced acid
i use rockbox. firefox is to IE as rockbox is to stock firmware.

it's pretty sweet.

go to www.misticriver.net

they have forums dedicated to the h10 and rockbox on h10.

I was about to post in here saying I'll bet there's a way, but you pretty much beat me to it. pinch.gif

If there isn't already a way, I'm sure someone will do it, but in the meantime it looks like you should just try rockbox. =]
warriors1035
