Are you sure the cartridge is installed correctly?

Try taking it out and putting it back in.
madgamer
Yes I am pretty sure. I am also sure thats theres ink because I had used a towel on it.

I dont get why when I print the ink doesnt appear on paper.=\
pandamonium
did you take out all the tape? usually there is a protective tape on it.
Simba
Try a test page or aligning the cartridges and what not too. wink.gif

^ Good advice.

What ink is it?
The color ink or black and white?

And what do you mean by "used a towel on it"?

That could have ruined the cartridge.
madgamer
The ink is black and yes I took the tape out.

How do I do a test page? I have dell.

What product model is it?

Or try going here and finding it:

Not sure if it'll help though.. ermm.gif

I think it's a problem with the driver.
Try reinstalling it with the disk that came with your printer.

Have you followed the step by step instructions that came with your printer or cartridge? One time I didn't think I needed to and just popped one in and it wouldn't print and when I went back and read the instructions, I had over looked a step.
madgamer
Yeap I am sure everything is in the right place and I had took the tape off. I also tried to remove the printer's driver and downloading it again and still ink dont show up on paper=[
think!IMAGINARILY
Ok.. I've never heard of that before..

More questions:
Where did you buy the cartridge from? or did you refill it?
Did you follow the instructions for installing the cartridge?

I don't really know what to tell you anymore except ask Dell customer service. Sorry I can't help much on this.. sad.gif
madgamer
Yes it was pretty simple putting the cartridge in, I just remove the tape and also I had tried to remove the printer's driver and installing it over again.
madgamer
Can some one please help or know some one thats good with computers?=\

You helped a lot, you should work as a dell helper person lol.

BUT did you try cleaning the printer it should be an option somewhere.
KissMe2408
You might want to swap it at the store and tell them that it didn't work for you.

That or call tech support or something for the ink...

But if you took the tape off, and lined it up correctly, there shouldn't be a problem really.

I suggest switching it at the store.

Is your printer new or old? What year?
Did you buy your with Dell or refill it? If you didn't buy with Dell, state where you did.
Did you buy the correct cartridge?

These questions are pretty much essential to fixing your problem.

We might be able to help a little, but you should call customer service.

Try callin customer support. I'm sure they'll be able to help.
madgamer
Do anyone else know how to fix this?!
Simba
You tried all of those things and it still doesn't work?
madgamer
yes=\
pnaypassi0n
well from what im reading to me it seems like the cartridge is either not working properly.. and i think the towel ruined it.. or maybe it isnt compatible to you printer..i think u should exchange it.. or look for the right one.. some printers are required to have a certain ones. i dunno if that helps u =p
clarity
are you 100% sure that its the right cartridge for your printer?
