Who has seen the commercial for The Black Skinny Pants?

The commercial is from GAP and they have Audrey Hepburn from one of her movies dancing really crazy lol... it was so weird but the commercial caught my attention.

What did you think of the commercial and would any one of you buy those pants (they dont look in right now.)?

Gigi
The first thing I thought was: "DAMN, that was one cool commercial. Audrey Hepburn pwns all."

And then I went on to think, would I let Gap brainwash me to buy a pair of black skinny pants just because they used the amazing Audrey Hepburn in their ads? ...maybe not.

But no, they're in. Skinny pants of all sorts, whether it be black, brown, denim...you name it, skinny is in this season.
Serendipity
Ehm, I'd have to think about it. I like skinny jeans, but not necessarily skinny pants. I dunno. =P
thanhmai
I haven't seen the tv ad. The magazine ads are pretty nice though, because all the models look gorgeous in the audrey pants.

But then again, they're models
datass
Hmmm...In the photo it looks like she's slapping the man behind her pinch.gif
Zatanna
^ It does sort of.

Totally signature Audrey Hepburn. She wore pants like those in several of the movies she made. Skinny pants are for skinny girls (which I'm not, at all), so have fun with that. laugh.gif
Trinie
i love it!!! its so funny and i love her crazy dancing!!!!
SandRAWRz
i never get sick of that commercial..the first time i saw it was a super long commercial..now they cut off some of her dance moves
treschicgeek
I LOVE the ad. Skinny jeans, I dunno, not so much, I feel as if it's just another "trend". But that scene is from the movie "Funny Face", I just love Audrey Hepburn's accent. happy.gif
angelrevelation
they look like highwaters ermm.gif but maybe that's just cuz of the socks. i don't think they look really RIGHT... like they're not cut thin enough, as skinny pants.
KissMe2408
lol I believe that photo is from the movie "Funny Face" starring her and Fred Austaire. lol, i love audrey. And she is one of the few women in the world that can pull off those pants. But i love the look, you have to be sure you are wearing the right shoes with that though, or it doesn't work. haha.

Skinny pants are pretty in right now. great legs are in haha, but I think they always have been.

I haven't seen the commercials though, but will be looking for them
joiedevie
i think it's a good ad but i wouldn't buy the pants.
mzkandi
I love that commerical. I might buy some skinny pants, it would depend on how they look on me.
synthase
that commercial is hilarious! maybe..i'd buy skinny pants [?]
This Confession
I love gap, but I don't wear their pants. Their in to the skinny jeans and stuff now and I never liked wearing those.

I like their shirts though, the commercial is a little odd I have to agree. I was half asleep when I first watched it, it caught my attention though which is what they want to do.
blucheri
i think this lil campain they got going is a brilliant idea. really makes me want to get a pair of jeans.
demolished
It's amazing that the trend is still going on.
Girls wear tight short jeans to overlap that skinny pants.
HakunaMatata
Ehhh, I love Audrey and everything, and Gap, too, but skinny black jeans look muy horrible on me. I have uniform at school, so black pants are like everywhere anyway, so I guess this "trend" doesn't really strike me.
bballchick1
I haven't seen the ad yet on tv, but I was at GAP yesterday and I saw the actual pants - they're awesome!

I haven't tried them on me, but they're definitely in - skinny is in this season for sure.
mznikki
i love the ad, but i see those black skinny jeans on a lot of boys in my town crazy.gif and i'm not a fan. i like my boot cut jeans.
think!IMAGINARILY
Eww. I would NEVER buy those.

I don't like pants. I only wear jeans.

And from the picture, they look more like leggings than pants.
n_Oodles

Yah, it caught my attention also. But someone was talking to me (damnit), so I really didn't get to see the whole thing. I was pretty bummed. I was like "Coooool.."

I tried a pair of skinny jeans. Bad bad bad.

It's too much of a change for me. I like my boot-cuts, thank you very much.

Same here. pinch.gif

I did see the display at GAP today though. I had a $50 mall gift card to blow, and it only took me about 30 minutes.
Trinie
if i were skinny, i would buy the skinny pants.

I love that damn commercial, best commercial ever. And I have some and love em
Gigi
I think skinny jeans could potentially look great on everyone, it's just a matter of choosing the right cut and the right shoes to go with them. Obviously a curvier person should stray away from the painted-on skinny jean, but a looser fit around the ankles could look good. Anything too tapered for someone larger could make them look unproportioned, but a straight leg with a slightly tapered bottom could look appropriate.

Also, skinny jeans + clunky, big shoes = no. Opt for a simple flat or a skinnier heel. I saw a girl in a magazine wear some super skinny jeans with some chunky Nikes - no, no, no!
mznikki
i don't know if anyone herd this on the news but they were talking about how the Gap is donating some of their profits to one of Audrey's favorite charities, i think that's pretty sweet thumbsup.gif
x_curse_of_the_curves_x
^ that's awesome i hate gap clothes and like someone said above skinny jeans are for skinny girls which im not either lol im not fat but im not skinny!
