n. pl. som·nil·o·quies: The act or habit of talking in one's sleep.

Okay, so does anyone else here sleep talk?

Lately, I've been falling asleep on the phone, and I'm told that I respond in my sleep (which I totally do not remember, at all). For the most part, he says that it's all prompted, that I probably wouldn't say anything if he didn't say anything first. I just deny that I'm asleep when I really am, "No.. I'm not asleep.." And there was one instance of, "Okay, I'm going to go to sleep now, goodnight!" and I had already been asleep for a while. mellow.gif

Any amusing instances?

Alright, um... I do this all the time... I just start talking in my sleep... I don't know what to tell you though. As far as I'm concernd, there is no cure. It's just something that happens.

mellow.gif I wasn't asking for a cure; I know it just happens and thus I was asking about other people did it too and such and so on and so forth.

I don't sleep talk.. At least I don't think I do.

My mom does though. When I was little, I used to talk to her when she was about to fall asleep and she just says random things like, "Did you leave the stove on?" or "Go watch TV." and once she even cursed at me in Chinese. mellow.gif

HAHA. I'm sorry, Anna, but it really does add on to your cuteness factor. flowers.gif I don't believe I sleeptalk. I really couldn't know if I haven't slept with someone or slept on the phone with anyone. XD.gif

Pick me! Pick me!

It's actually sort of embarrassing, but funny, to hear about in the morning. XD

I never knew I spoke in my sleep til my boyfriend told me. But yea I sleep talk all the time x_x. He says sometimes I mumble. Hhaa

I've done both sleep talking and sleep eating (which had an unfortunate side effect of a 20 pound weight gain).

I don't know that it's amusing necessarily, but I broke up with one of my ex's via sleep talking.

By the way, Josh, there isn't a cure per se, but there are medications you can take. I wouldn't recommend them though, as I don't endorse any psychotropic medications. Usually it's an on again off again situation. I haven't done either sleep talking or sleep eating for months.

My brother actually does that, but he literally screams out in anger in his sleep, It's kinda scary.
Especially when I'm watching a movie, and he's on the couch . . . He'll just start screaming, "GET AWAY FROM ME!! STOP IT!"
He has always done that, ever since we were kids, and always has no idea what he was dreaming when he was asked about it in the morning.

I talk randomness when I'm half asleep, but that's about it.

XD.gif Omg, I don't know why, but I found that incredibly funny.
Anyway, I don't really know if I sleep talk or not. I remember being told when I was younger that I had. I would yell, similar to what the person above me said (Katie? XD). And my cousin once told me I'd start sleepwalking and sleeptalk downstairs as if I was just normally walking in school or something. laugh.gif I'm such a weirdo.

My friend's roommate once said "I'm gonna strangle you..." in her sleep crazy.gif

I sing in my sleep sometimes or so I have been told.

My sister talks/screams/cries/shouts in her dreams all the time. My room is next to hers and I'm ALWAYS getting woken up.

Hm. I know I sleepwalk once in a while. I'd fall asleep somewhere and wake up in some totally random place. Like once, I woke up under the piano. That was... weird.

Sleeptalkers unite!

Eh, or not.

My sister tried to record me sleeptalking with her video camera.
But I don't remember that, because obviously, I was sleeping.

Jose is the most hilarious person on the phone after he falls asleep. Like OMG adorable.

He'll be like fully awake in the middle of telling me a story, and then without even stopping he changes subjects and goes off on these bizarre ramblings that are completely irrelevant.. That's when you know he's asleep.

But yeah, he's also told me some pretty embarrassing things after he's fallen asleep, too (well, embarrassing at the time).

Ahaha, he's gonna kill me, but I just thought it was funny/cute. pinch.gif
