So my ex and I have started talking recently and we hung out today. I'm pretty sure I have no feelings for him anymore, but I can't help but be mad at him for all the things he did during and after the relationship.

My friends tell me to forgive him but I can't find the will to do so. He wants to be friends with me and forget the past, but I can't seem to do that.

So..what should I do?

Forgive, but don't forget. Try not to hold grudges, even though it's hard to let them go. But it's what you feel is right; if you don't want to be friends with him because you're not comfortable with it, then don't.

Same thing with me and my ex. I have no feelings for him whatsoever and we still talk but I still can`t forget what he had done in the past.. Well, what I did was brush it off. but im just saying, hes a reason for being your ex b/c he [in this case] did something wrong. i know its hard to forget, but there is always forgiving. which u HAVE to do, b/c if you keep thinking about the bad things hes done, all your doing is worrying [thinking] about it happening AGAIN.. get me?? you just gotta try to forget about it and enjoy yourself.

I hate him.

if you hate him dont be friends with him no one is forcing you to do so. just say you accept his apology but you prefer to keep a \"hi\" and \"bye\" sort of friendship. for example:

HI! (dudes name)
HI! (your Name)
BYE! (dudes name)
BYE! (yourname)

I don't know... if he has the balls to say he's sorry than I guess he's worth forgiving... ;]

but don't let him do those things again... only be friends if he's not going to pull the same shit all over again.

He didn't mean it. He even told me that if I was trying to make him feel guilty, it wasn't working.

Well, if you can't deal with being his friend and you don't want to be his friend than there isn't any piont in trying.. any relationship takes work from both sides and if you don't want to put in the work... then it isn't going to work... both people have to want to be friends before you can be friends... don't doit if you don't want to, but it's might be a good learning experience.. I don't know... I generally don't hold grudges against my ex's... I'm friends with all of them exept one, and they have turned out to be the best of friends at times... I guess I don't know this guy so I can't tell you for sure... good luck, and I wish you the best
