Can some one teach me how to make abstract backgrounds like this one

all of those seem really small... when you work in photoshop, you generally work big and save small... >.> I really can't tell what they did to make those images...

They look like a mix of layers containing Blurring brushs>Image transformation>Colorization/Gradients

This link form the site that toyo loco brought up seems to have a very similar style to what you are looking for. Just mess around with things a bit, and I'm sure you will come up with something intresting.

There are tons of tutorials for making abstract designs. I know that some can be made in Photoshop. Others are renders, so you may need a program that allowes you to make 3D designs.

Just don't make them the icon size, make them much bigger.
