i really dont know where this would go, but does anyone know what the smell is when you walk into an abercrombie and fitch store? i think its the men`s cologne, but then i honestly do not know. Sometimes i think that when the clothes are shipped they are made to smell that way. Does anyone else wonder the same thing? Does anyone else know what the smell is?!
angelrevelation
yea, stores have their own special smell, almost no matter where you go. you can ask the people who work there, but it would be kinda weird for them rolleyes.gif i love hollister's smell.
BOOGERSHAHA
yeah, it's fierce by abercrombie, the men's cologne. if you buy a bottle (around 25 bucks), it'll smell slightly different. more strong, because when it's in the store, it's really spread out and not as uh, choking? anyways if you like the smell a lot, they sell fierce and you can just spray the stuff onto their little cards and carry the cards with you home for free hahaha.
treschicgeek
Yeah. That smell is the same way at Hollister stores too. Sometimes I swear its their mens cologne "Drift" which I LOVE. My friends always ask me why I buy so much of my clothes from A&F and Hollister and I always tell them it's because of that "new clothes smell" their stuff has. laugh.gif

But yeah, for Hollister I am almost absolutely sure it's their guys cologne Drift. I bought the cologne for no real reason than the fact that I love the scent. Haha.

I've never been to an A&F. They don't have one in the mall by where I live. And yeah, i've noticed that each store has their own like smell to it. The store I noticed with a really strong smell was Spencers.

lol. i guess it`s just our store here. it kind of smells woody.

it`s also the same with polo ralph lauren stores.
jennyjenny
wait why do they spray cologne into their whole store... why not the perfume?

well i guess it`s because the cologne has been their trademark scent for quite some time now, so they just stuck with it. i`m not sure though.

I worked at a Spencers for 2 months over the summer.
It's some kind of insence (sp) they have like right in the front.
Everyone loves the smell, but to me it's like somebody is burning the stick right INSIDE my nose.

So yah, that answers the question.
OH my favorite part of working there?
Walking through the store doing stock with the "personal message" toys.

Wait, what does Hot Topic smell like?! laugh.gif
skt
Having friends that worked there, I'm not even sure there is a smell.
Hmm.
pedophile
^ Yeah, I thought so.
skt
Well they have really awful colognes that give me a headache, and most of the time the only thing you can smell in there is if someone sprayed some of the girly stuff.

Other then that, the only things that stand out is the clothes and that's if you are up close and smell them.

It's that new clothes smell that all clothes have though.

Sheesh.
shannonx1
yeah i noticed that haha. it always smells in Hollister too.

oh my. me too.
even though its not a strong OMG HOT TOPIC smell, its smells good.
me1issaaaa
The smell in Hollister is pretty much a mix of both the cologne and the perfume, so I'm guessing it's the same for Abercrombie.
