So I've been talking to my Irish friend.. and I we started talking about eggs (actually, thanks to Jesse's topic in here ). He pointed out that they have PINK EGGS THERE. I WANT PINK EGGS! Then I was talking to my Australian friend, Ten, who said that theirs are speckled. And and and she called our eggs Albino. But yeah.. then Josh was telling me how THEY DON'T HAVE PANCAKES IN IRELAND. What the eff, right? It's ridiculous. No waffles, either. I asked him what they eat, and he pointed me to this! And and yeah.. I haven't gotten the chance to ask the redcoat what they eat over there. But yeah.. I don't know. I just found it odd.

We got Pink Eggs here too, with the birds inside "balot" we got brown eggs also..but speckled eggs??? that sounds a little to radical for me, and not having pancakes or waffles? i wonder what they substitute it for..? maybe french toast.

I was just gonna say that. We have purple/red eggs. They're salted. Really really good. "Itlog na maalat."

I always thought they were pink..now that you think of it I think it really is purple....gosh my colors are mixed up today

Do you have any Filipino stores in your area? I get my "pink eggs" from this store called "Tindahan" ( store, tindahan) across the street from my mall.

No, we only have Chinese and Japanese stores around here.

yeah you usually get them from super markets, I think they sell 'em chinese stores or any oriental markets.

I've never seen them there.

Actually, we do have those colors here. White eggs are the "standard" so they actually pick the white ones and sometimes color them white for packaging. I guess if you opened up a carton of eggs and saw different colored eggs you'd be like "Wtf? Are these rotten?" It's true. I saw it on TV, lol.

We used to have pink eggs around the house ( well, in the fridge ) but not anymore. We just buy White eggs I guess they're called. But you you can get em' at an asian market.

Balot is nasty. Me and my cousins were playing Tongits and i was on a losing streak and had to eat 3 balots as punishment They also made me eat frog and chicken intestine on a stick. Stupid mean cousins.
