i think polls should just be disabled. they're pointless. really. I don't really give a s--t about what the polling population of cB thinks, in numbers.

This was originally placed in the Boy's Locker, probably because of the overwhelming amount of polls placed in there. About 85% if not more of the topics on the first page are made up of polls.

Yea there are quite a lot of polls in there last time I checked. I don't go in there all that much though.

The polls do get kind of pointless to some extent. But it a lot of otheres I think their pretty usefull.

I like some of them sometimes though.

here's something to think over:

the Okay polls, those. could they be done as simple topics?

polls would be better if people didn't answer stupid questions like "Do you like beef jerky? Yes [54%] No [25%] Depends on the day [21%]" ...and then post a reply that says "yes, i do like beef jerky." if you're going to answer the poll, what is the point of spamming and stating it again in words? i doubt anyone cares and reads them thinking "hmm..____ likes beef jerky? sweet." the whole topic turns into spam because nobody reads all of the replies and there is no discussion about the topic whatsoever.

Well, I actually like the ones w/ a little bit of choices, but I hate the ones that have a whole bunch of choices & stuff, especially if the opinions of people DEFINETELY will vary from person to person. idk, like in some, more than one of the choices could apply to you, but you get to only choose one.

yeah, some polls are just really unnecessary. "if you could choose ONE quality about a boyfriend what would it be?" and then one of the options is "all of the above"

Wow. The Boy's Locker is made up of all topics on the first page except for 3 threads, 1 of which was moved.

Girl's Locker has some polls too.

The ones in the boys locker are pretty much pointless because of all the newbs that join cB just so they can figure out if they're suppose to be growing hair down there. However, I think they should be an option. Maybe someone needs to crack down on the pointless polls and take them a bit more serious. I think it's a good feature if used correctly.

Polls are quite useless. They show you what others think. A good topic shows you what you think.

^ Yes, and it completely defeats the purpose of posting, with polls people can just glance and see what the majority thinks, but they should actually read all of the posts and stop being so lazy.

Not everyone will like poll, but there are people out there ... knows how to use poll.


To elimate "bad" poll, take it away from regular member. Let the official members use poll. that's all i can think of ... to solve it.

I think it's stupid when the poll is asking the same excact question as the topic. Otherwise, they don't really bother me.

I don't think Polls should be disabled overall. If the Polls in the Boys locker bother you that much, you guys (BOYS) should decide on what to do. But don't even think of disabling Polls altogether. They are fun.

I don't think ALL polls should be disabled. Maybe some of the pointless ones. Not all polls are bad, some make a poll so they get the information they need for uhmm, maybe schoolwork. But ones like "Do you like Pink?" Yes or No. Thats stupid.

Some of the polls are really stupid (well actually some of the topics themselves are stupid), but I doubt we should disable them overall.

yea i agree with her....i agree with the last part about the comparing things part...i mean some ppl wants to c what others chose instead of going through all the pages..and they just look at the results...

if you dont like polls then dont participate in them, i usually just vote and write my response i dont look at the percentage of what people voted on cuz i couldnt care less
