Perhaps not the appropiate place for this topic (mods feel free to move it), but...

I notice members here who have some creative sig pictures and graphics, but some of them are just unnecessarily big. They're nice and all, but there should a limit on what size should be allowed for sig use. A 300 x 400 pixel sig graphic for example isn't necessary, and takes-up a lot of bandwidth and screen space.

So please think of the bandwidth. Not everyone is using broadband connection, and not everyone is using a 19 or 21-inch monitor. Thanks.

Why do you think it's censorship? I'm not saying "ban sigs to hell!", but toning-down the obnoxious huge ones.

we actually do have a limit on signatures.. ppl just dont follow them. ermm.gif but we do PM them and ask them to resize it or take it off.

Actually, its not draining createBlog's bandwidth because we host them ourselves. So it's at our expense.
And if you have a problem with their signatures, ask them to tone down on it OR request a rule for smaller siggies. I doubt they would comply.
Do YOU have an image editing program?

thats not true, you ignorant moron. they warned you because you ATTACHED a big pic for about 100 posts, even when SEVERAL mods were telling you to get a TRUE signature instead of attaching pics every post. do you get it NOW?

I never point-out that it's CB's bandwidth, but for those who have dial-up connection and downloading the images.

Of course. I doubt they would listen to me, but I'll hand this one to to mods.

How wide and high the image is can do nothing with the image size. For example, I can use 100px 100px with 500dpi, in this case the image could be larger than 200px 200px. How high and how high the image is won't usually slow down the internet. Well, a little bit in 56K. So yah. _smile.gif
