Everything. The outrageous costumes/makeup, the insane story, the singing, TIM CURRY.

You might have been expecting a bit much from Rocky Horror. It's pretty much just dumb laughs, great songs, absurd characters, and a mess of themes revolving around sexual exploration, romantic revolution, and a stab at social taboos. But, this is the thing. The movie, by itself, isn't all too great. I mean, it's a spectacle of sorts, but I would never volunteer to watch it at home on a television. You have to go to crowd participation shows and live stage shows. That's when it gets fun.
Yell shit at the screen. Yell shit at sluts (Rocky kids) and virgins (Rocky newbies), throw shit (not at the screen, that's expensive), yell shit at the actors, and just let loose. Rocky has been the largest, to my knowledge, audience participation film ever. And, it wasn't even intentional. It's one of the few midnight movies that you can still find playing every week all over the world with kids dressing up and coming in to loose their voice calling Brad Majors an a-hole. If you havn't seen it in the theaters, do it. You'll change your mind real fast, so long as you got a good host and audience.

I saw part of that movie last night!
It was on some random channel after I was watching SNL..it was....weird.
I didn't actually stay up to watch the whole thing..but I'll probably watch the whole thing sometime if I ever remember.

I adore Rocky Horror. It is just for dumb laughs, but I still adore it. For my friend's birthday, we watched it at her place with a ton of friends and all the supplies: water pistols, umbrella, rice, rubber gloves, etc. For Halloween this year I'm going to be Columbia. Last year I was Magenta because I have the 'fro.
Leeet's do the tiiiiime warp agaaaaaaaainnnn!

OMGOMGMOMG

I KNOW! I watched it over Bryan's house and all his friends were all amazed that I have never watched it before...so I was just like "okay let's watch it, then." so we did...and I didn't find it entertaining at all. I found it rather...dumb...the songs weren't even that great either imo

^ There are tons of people who will never like it, no matter what. But it's definitely more fun when you have a big group of people and you get to throw things. You should see it again.

PUNK OI
Nahaha.
Anyway. I'm with Nate on this one. It would probably not be that entertaining sitting at home and watching it or something; you definitely have to see it at a theater.
