well I saw on another forum, they had this feature where you could change your font for all posts and not have to do the BB code (optional) for every post. What do you think about the idea?
marzipan
yes, i wish we could do that. it's easier. i don't like this font. ><
theoutlaw
Yeah that's what I'm thinking to, cause I like to format my posts with arial, size one. and it's sort of annoying having to go use the tools above (*but that's what they're there for anyways)..
mona lisa
Meaning an automatic system that, I guess, "remembers" your font setting?
marzipan
right.
theoutlaw
^ yeah something like that. on the forum that had that, it was on my controls and you just have to program what you want the font & size of your posts to be
technicolour
Ignore me.

I like the idea though.

this has been put forth before. i don't think i like it much. it will encourage pink text, ultra small text, etc.

createblog doesnt have to support that color.

cB can make a rule about ... not using small font.

forums that allow custom fonts seem to lose a certain uniformity.

People can alreayd customize avatars, member titles, and signatures. Why add message text into the mix? it would encourage unreadable messages.

If it could be turned off, like avatars and signatures, then i suppose that would be fine...

i think it would have to be in your own control panel
because i never use the add reply.
I only fast reply to everything.

But i don't mind the idea,
I could care less what font it is though honestly.
Just sounds like people are picky.
clarity

i like the idea since i use tahoma size 1
all the time and since i don't like clicking the thing above
i copied the BBcode into my notes and i paste it all the time.
blehh i find it a hassle to use that thing above.

It is a nice idea, I think it would make things a lot easier.

However, it would be kinda annoying when everyone starts using a much smaller or much bigger font. I already hate when people use small fonts, and i usually don't even bother reading their posts because of it.

But nice idea, I don't think it would hurt.
I wouldn't care either way

Well, if you think about it..

There are some people that literally do change their fonts for every post anyway. So in essence, those that wish to do so will use their annoying font whether we like it or not.

I like the idea, but perhaps there could also be an option in our board settings that allows us to turn off text formatting so we only see black text for every post.

Yeah, that's a great idea. Because some of us like the small fonts, the other people get annoyed by it, so I agree with Dani.

There's nothing I, myself, can do about something like this though, but do you know if it's an add-on to the IPB software or if it is a separate feature?
theoutlaw
^ I don't know, and I don't recall the forum, but maybe you can ask Jusun if he can do anything about it.
micron
this might be a convenient feature to have. ill include it on the next major update for createblog.
