Hey now. I like the POTC movies. With or without JD, I think I would still enjoy them... or maybe not. I mean, who else could pull off Jack Sparrow?

No, I love POTC. Barbossa PWNS everyone.
JD is okay, but w/e. His looks are overrated (though he is an amazing actor)
And personally, I liked the ending.

I resent paying a high ticket price to see a movie that doesn't even resolve, and having Disney "make" me pay for another ticket, just to see what I should've seen in this movie.

I haven't seen the movie, so I wouldn't know.

I don't recall people complaining like that with the Star Wars trilogies.

I've not seen it, but it doesn't look good and I don't see the big hubbub about it. I mean, I saw like half of the first one and I wasn't impressed. Overrated.

I know.. I just knew they'd bring him back, I was waiting for him to show up the whole time I was watching the movie... hahaha

(Sorry to stop the flow of talk here...I needed somewhere to voice my opinion about POTC. Somehow the new kids always seem to wind theirselves into every conversation, dont they? Lol. ;D)

I loved POTC, although POTC 2 is very overrated and both have pretty predictable outcomes. However, I love the humour and have a soft spot for the character Jack Sparrow, whose famous lines such as 'Oh Bugger' wins laughs every time. Keira Knightley - you either love her or you hate her (there will always be the mean comments about the teeth). I think she's a good actress in both movies, slipping well into the role of tomboy shipmate.

The movies are good, POTC 2 being my favourite this month (couple of months maybe?) but theyre a tad overrated.

That's because each Star Wars movie actually had a resolution. Star Wars had a conclusion: the destruction of the Death Star. There wasn't a big cliffhanger at the end. The Empire Strikes Back didn't really leave people hanging, although it was clear that it led into a final film. But none of them deliberately left out any sort of resolution in an attempt to make people come back for a second film. The second POTC had no resolution whatsoever.

I don't HATE the movie, but it certainly doesn't deserve all the hype. Johnny Depp is a great actor and all, but I'm not particularly fond of Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley's acting.

My two cents.

I hated it. It bored me like crazy.

Johnny, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET ANOTHER OSCAR NOD FOR THIS ROLE!

i loved both movies but i hate that disney had to make yet another movie because they are just making me spend more money when i thot the second one was the last movie.
