I really really really despise them, but I like you too much to rant about them in your thread.

HAHA. I think you're one of the very very very few P!ATD fans that I actually like, especially for that last post.

its like...be a fan of the music first.
it just seems like she loves the guys more than the songs...
Kathleen
Jul 23 2006, 05:31 AM
I have to admit to being guilty of looking like that at times, but I truthfully listen to bands before I see them.
She's going overboard, though. Actually, I think I'm worse with that when it comes to movies.

Jul 23 2006, 05:37 AM
yeah ive definitely judged a band by its looks before. itd be hypocritical if i didn't offer that up.
but she's straight-up stalker like...
and when you say you've been like that about movies, could it possibly have something to do with movies including *ahem* johnny depp?
do you fawn over anything he's appeared in?
although they are all amazing appearances...
Kathleen
Jul 23 2006, 05:41 AM
Yeah.. and as I've been reading some of my movie threads lately.. Donnie Darko.. the Ethan Hawke one.
But yes, it's mainly Johnny Depp. When I first started (without even having layouts), I always had a Johnny avatar and signature.
The only movies of his that I don't have on DVD yet are Ed Wood, Cry Baby, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, although I've seen all of them. The first two are impossible to find on DVD. As for the last one, well, everytime I have money to buy it, I forget.

Jul 23 2006, 05:45 AM
lol. crybaby was my favorite movie when i was 8. i just saw it on tbs at the start of summer. it was a joyous day.
wouldn't u say ed wood was ....eccentric? i was watching a special about movies featuring gay people on LoGo and the ACTUAL ed wood was talking about the movies. it was pretty tight.
i just saw fear and loathing (the book) at borders with johnny on the cover. lol.

i like them.
i liked them before they were all on the radio and everything
it bothers me,
thats why happened to fall out boy too.
i used to love them, when they werent as well known...
i wish there was a band, that i liked before they were well known, and after they were wellknown.
bleh.
get what i mean?
i never understand why people stop liking them after they start getting money, you should love the music and the brilliant writing, not the status of the band. sure they are mainstream, but isn't the music the same before
and after they get popular? correct me if i'm wrong.
i'll admit i have been the same way before, but i realize that its just because i don't like to share.

I used to be Infatuated. I knew all the songs had tshirts, sweaters etc. Until I went to their show in Nokia Theatre. They really couldnt sing live, and their opening acts ran a little too long. Worst of all crazy 12 year olds were making stupid mosh pits and we almost seriously suffocated. and They didnt even say anything about ahhhh

True that. I think P!ATD are talented, especially lyrically. Their lyrics are very.. clever.
But I hate people like that, who make me ashamed for liking any bands that I like... yup.

Disappointed with their choice of singles, and the videos. Liked them better when they were just beginning on PureVolume.

The suck.
Not quite original either.
They stole the lines "Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off, but it's better if you do" directly from Closer. And the whole plot of their song is related to the relationship ties in Closer as well. Listen, and watch.

Yeah, my girlfriend listens to them all the time. I just take it.

I mean, I like their music. It's fun to listen to, but they don't have much talent. And their lyrics aren't exactly good in my opinion. Plus, Panic! At the Disco isn't smart. Whoever writes their lyrics is, lol.
