I didn't have to watch any videos. We basically just read chapters, did reviews, then immediately took tests on them. Yeah, it was really dull. So we tried talking, but we got in trouble for that, so we stopped talking, but then we'd wind up laughing about things and getting in trouble still. The actual driving parts were a bit awkward...we did it in partners, and the teacher liked him better than me, so they talked and I sat there. Then when she did talk to me, I made the mistake of mentioning that I was really not athletic and didn't enjoy PE, which was awful, since she was a PE teacher.

UGH. I just started Drivers Ed today. I have never been so bored in my entire life... four more days left. For more long, terrible days of hell. I can't wait to get it over with so I can actually drive by myself and be legal about it.
AngelicEyz00
I waited til I was 17 and a half to get my permit, so I didn't have to take Driver's Ed ;x I wouldn't want to take it anyway, seems a tad bit boring.
RiC3xBoy
Did you get to use the drunken goggles?
nyctophiliac
ugh I think I'm taking that next year
it seems like a bore from what I read ^^
RiC3xBoy
Bore is too good of a word. Its like sitting in a room doing nothing for 8 hours.
snak3y3z1001
how long is drivers ed for you guys?
Statues/Shadows
Mine was...two weeks? and three driving days.

I only took it for the insurance discount.

4 days, 32 hours. 3 days now.

Borrowed my friends test...he got none wrong..
KissMe2408
I think mine was 4-5 days a week for 2 weeks.
But it was only like 3 hours a day. I couldn't stand more then that.

But it wasn't that bad, you know. I had great people in that class that made it soo funny. The teachers were good, and basically made us work together in groups and stuff so it wouldn't be that boring. Took those random tests or whatever. Which wasn't too bad. I mean, it kinda helps to take drivers ed for later on.
Then we had a party there when we were done. Everyone brought food, and oh it was soo good. lol. So much dessert too.

lol, but i was lucky to have a good class. A lot of my friends tell me about their drivers ed experiences, and oh boy. I feel bad.
It matters on how the program is set up where you are.

But really try to learn something from it. Cuz you do actually use it for later on. Especially when they teach you about all those car symbols and stuff that light up inside your car, it helps to know those. lol.
And especially pay attention to the whole "right of way" concept, which you def need if you are driving around the mall area, cuz mall traffic is crazy.

I dunno, just good stuff to know.
crazeegirl411
Eh. I just took notes from the book and watched a video I didn't even watch because I was busy taking notes.

And then later on at the end of the year people told me I could have taken health/drivers ed online within a time span of 5 hours to a week. I hate them :DD.
Mr. Slowjamz
i never had to take drivers ed .....i got my permit after hi-school ...practiced driving with the helpful tutroing of some loved ones ...and i just passed my test last week. cool.gif

our teacher told stories all the time. he was fun.

interstingly, he married a student of his.

he taught her his first year teaching. she was in high school. they met again like, 10 years later, and started dating then.
stephinika
Mine was okay...it was 3 days about 6 hours long each if I remember correctly...it was like...over a year ago so yeah. blink.gif It was boring, but I met some cool people haha.
salcha4u
Hah I'm home for the hour long lunch break. The videos are so..gory.
technicolour
Wow. My drivers ed was just an hour before school each day for about a month. We didn't watch any morbid videos but the worksheets were very stupid.

Bumping this. I have a question:

Is it better to go to a driver's education school or take the online course?
sprezzatura
We don't need driver's ed class...we can just take that multiple choice test at DMV, then wait half a year before taking the driving test.
Jeng
drivers ed classes. i never heard of an online one. but the drivers ed, you are being taught things and even though its extremelyyyyyyyy boring, you learn things and it prepares you for the read world of driving, and you also drive.

It depends. If you're learning for the first time, take the actual class, because it's a lot more convenient when you have to apply for your driver's liscence and usually it comes with actual driving lessons with an instructor, which is better than learning how to drive with a parent (from what I've heard). I took the class and I thought it was the easiest thing in the world.

But if you're trying to get out of a traffic ticket, take the online course.
clarity
hey i can't drive, so i wouldn't be talking. blink.gif
lol [/sarcasm]
DarkImpressions
Well Im only a freshman so I cant take it until next year but I dont know if I waana take it becasue I heard it was sorta boring
clarity
^ erm yeah, thats whats mentioned here..

i don't understand how its boring though. blink.gif
yrrnotelekktric
Yeah. thats why i took it online.
miss barnes
i never took it. thank God i didnt have to

Hm. My driver's ed class had nothing to do with school. But whatever. I guess it fits in an odd sort of way.
