I think it is weird for guys to wear tight pants.

I HATE WITH A PASSION when emo people say "'you are only a true emo if you cut yourself". They make it sound like cutting is cool, which it is not. It makes me really sad when I hear about people that cut themselves because they think it is cool. I have friends that cut themselves because they actually had problems and actually were depressed. And the cutting led to suicidal thoughts, then let to them wanted to kill themselves, which was not cool. So cutting is not cool.

I also hate it how people dress "emo" but they actually arend't "EMOsional". People are forgetting what emo actually means. They just dress like that to act cool.

The "emo" kids at my school were punk last year. They listened to punk music. This year they are emo and they listen to emo music. I hate it how they change their personality just because of what is popular.

okay you know what. emo is just a current style right now and i have to admit it does annoy me when i surf myspace and i see all the emo people looking the same. but the truth is, i really dont care anymore. if people wanna dress emo then they can dress emo. its not like you can only dress emo if you're depressed. they can laugh at themselves 20 years from now but we dont have to bash them for it. we're teenagers living in america, we're all victims of fashion and what's "in".

I think it annoys me even more when people put down "emo" kids.. like, "You listen to so-and-so. They're such pussies!" I mean.. EVERY SINGLE SONG EVER CREATED IS EMOTIONAL WHETHER YOU'D LIKE TO THINK SO OR NOT. I'm with aznxdreamer for the most part, though. I honestly don't care.

however, i am not emo myself. i do listen to the music though.

Real Punk kids never turn emo they were emo before but trying to act punk. Besides it depends on what You think is punk they probably didnt listen to actual Punk.

Some emo chicks are hot, like with the crazy cool hair and lip ring. Some overdo it with the makeup and other stuff though.

They said they were "punk", now they say they are "emo". They just change their total life because of how it is cool to dress.

i agree but i really dont have emo friends because im a happy person and most of the emos in my skool wear dark eye liner and look really sad or mad. so like i walk near them and they like say " wat the hell are people smiling for this day f**kin sucks. i hate this skool. i hate everybody" its just a big clash lol. but personally i dont care at least they are individuals and dont follow whats in.

uhm i was talking about my skool... my skool are full of preps so their are only a handful of emo's ....

it's a trend. who cares? just don't overdo it and place guns and rockets and lyrics all over your myspace or whatever it is these days and there's a chance you might be plenty cool.

Being emo is no different than being preppy, or ghetto. I'm not emo, but I dont find anything wrong with being emo. Yeah, some emo kids go waay overboard, but so do other people with their own styles.

AHHH. No more emo topics, PLEASE. I'm sick of this discussion and I'm sure others are too. Having depression or pretending to have depression is SO NOT COOL. Yes, middle-class and above kids, there are people less fortunate than you, so wisen up a little bit and stop complaining. If you're depressed, get help. If you're not, SHUT UP.
